Listen, I think most people out here have nothing against tavon. we all hope he turns into ed reed. however, here is why i think most people are pissed

1. poor history of drafting DBs, and
2. couldve traded back, accumulated picks *even if we got less value than the trade chart so what* and picked him later.

hopefully someone falls so far that BB has no choice but to draft him next, or he trades out. I'm scared.

Trashvon Wilson was created purely from a football playing standpoint. Im sure he's a nice dude in real life.

Do you think the Pats just picked his name from a hat? I'm not all that high on the guy either because I don't know much about him. But I'm sure the Pats scouted the guy and liked what they saw.

This is probably a bigger reach then when Al Davis drafted Mike Mitchell a few years ago in the second round and was then laughed at by every NFL fan on the planet. Hope it works out.

You can't grade the PLAYER, but you can certainly grade the PICK. It's not the same thing.

Couldn't agree more. HATE the pick even if he turns into a Pro Bowler. Trade down few, grab a pick, pick SOMEONE ELSE, and then get this guy at 62. The last pick I hated in this particular way is MATTHEW SLATER and that worked out so I suppose there's hope. Still, overall I despise this pick.

Yeah, but slater was a 5th rd. pick, considered to be a 1-2 round reach... This doesnt compare.
And personally.., slater still isn't an impact player. He's a special teams player... Nothing else... Even if he's the captain.

In all fairness, its possible that BB and company caught wind that another team also liked Wilson. Its also possible that there were no partners to trade down.

The important thing is that between free agency and the draft, we've got some nice competition forming at the S position. It's hard to argue that we haven't improved.

Most people seem annoyed at the selection of Wilson because we don't know much about him. It seems like a speculative pick at this point, one which rivals the Jets selections. That said, because I don't know much about him, it's pointless rating the pick in isolation. Right now, it's another position of need filled at Safety.
