After Brady throws a pick, are you upset with his lack of effort to tackle?

Re: vs. Raiders Next week

they just scored vs Jets, up 24-17

Raiders are not a gimme "W". I see no hope Pats 4-3 can stop McFadden

Infact here's next 6 weeks. We could easily see Pats at 3-3, and if they can't get their act together 2-4.

Raiders
Jets
Cowboys
Steelers
Giants
Jets

They will lose all 6 of these games playing as they are currently constituted. Being ranked dead last in total defense is no illusion, its deserved. And the apologists can't say that they're good in points against this year.

They were 24th in points allowed at the midpoint of last season.

And, as I've pointed out before, the players who were inactive today aren't likely to all be out for six weeks.

Welcome to 9 and 7 No playoffs. You are who you are.

This team is 12-4 with the worst defense in the NFL. It doesnt have to have the worst defense in the NFL.
Playoffs are no longer a gimme though with jets and now Buffalo improving

Re: vs. Raiders Next week

McFadden is going to run over us all day and Big Sey is licking his chops already ...

Is this the first game Pats face him after the trade ??

Re: vs. Raiders Next week

I think they will concentrate on stopping the run. Probably move to a makeshift 34 over practice this week. This will help McCourty keep his man in front of him but leave the belly of the defense exposed like last year.

Bogus calls or not, that is not what lost the game
Inferior talent/coaching and lack of clutch play discipline are the reasons for the loss

The "holding" call (hee hee) on Solder was pretty significant

Re: vs. Raiders Next week

they look like a very good team right now. Hopefully we get whatever problems we have sorted out because I don't like the odds of beating them in Oakland playing anywhere near the way we played today.

I believe so. He's probably better than all the DL the Pats have right now.

Hope I pick up Campbell for fantasy next week. Pats are good to give up 300+ right? (my starter vick is getting manhandled by his poor o-line)

We didn't get the game down here, but I tend to agree with those who say it isn't time to go off the deep end.

I think we all knew that, sooner or later, we would need to rely on more that Tommy's ability to put points on the board. Unfortunately, today was "sooner."

That and the Bills were playing great ball..Pats were too use to plowing them over..now maybe they will take them more seriously

Before the game, the key to a Bills win was Patriot turnovers. Brady gave them a chance. Without the turnovers, the Pats win - easily.

I really don't see how this game is Brady's fault seeing as he put the team up 21-0. Looks to me like the defense is more culpable.

That would be equally true but infinitely less important if you said the same for Buffalo.

That's sort of like saying without the cold, sleet and snow, Boston winters are great.

To put things into perspective, the last time the Pats lost to the Bills, they went on to win SB. Just saying...

As I commented above, we didn't get the game in NYC, so I'm reluctant to say too much. But, usually, when a team is up 21--0 and then loses, you do look to the Defense.

Unless the QB who got them to 21-0 throws 4 interceptions, 1 of which is taken for a pick 6..

There is a lot of blame to go around. Bill O'Brien. Brady. Belichick. Barrett. Brown. Guyton. McCourty.

The Pats NEED a safety. Pure and simple. Brown and Barrett aren't them. And Chung is good, but they need another.
