Haynesworth & Ellis @ Practice

So........ are you telling me that with both Vince Wilfork and Albert Haynesworth on the interior of a D Line (and playing well together - which remains to be seen), won't create nightmares for offensive blocking schemes..

Far be it from me to speak for AJ, but I BELIEVE what he's "telling" you is to take a breath and calm down and let's wait and see Haynesworth do something on the field. I'm sure Andy and everyone on this board are hopeful that the things you're assuming are what turns out to happen. I think it's just a desire not to fall into the trap that most message boards do, of being ridiculous homers who predict only the best despite less evidence than is required.

The idea that Haynesworth has proven anything in TC so far, just because he was dominant in EXTREMELY limited action, is a stretch, and I say that as someone who started DROOLING when I read about that initial impression.

Relax, be patient. You'll probably end up right.

The thing about message boards is that we can actually read your original post. There is absolutely no reason to keep quoting yourself.

Apologies, just hoping someone that saw practice today stumbles upon it. Trying to improve the S:N. It's one of the biggest questions about the season that is unanswered, IMO. Just a little excited (maybe overexcited) that we might get a definite answer.

You might want to get the RSS feed for some of the local blogs:

Reiss
Gaspar
Price (to a much lesser degree since he's less likely to break news on his blog)

Add those in to all the local twitter accounts, and you'll have pretty solid information outlets to get updates from.

But at least you get good Tex Mex there.

Weird weather here. Poured on the drive to the stadium, got sunny and hot when there, then cloudy, then poured again. There was a huge cloud following me. Now I'm back in Providence and it's sunny, as always.

Are you back for good, Patjew?

Haynesworth is a head case and can go either way

The potential to be the best Defensive Lineman for NE since Julius Adams or the biggest fat slob of goo since Jonathan Sullivan laced up in Foxboro

Put your money on Black or Red and watch where the ball lands on the wheel when you sign a guy like Haynesworth.

Yes sir, permanent resident of Rhode Island again!

Though I'm off to India/Thailand/China tomorrow. But this time I know I'm coming back in 2 weeks.

Hey, PJ, did you ever get to see what Szechuan peppercorns were?

I am hopeful that Haynesworth will play like he wants to play and not half arse it. I do think he is motivated now. Let's hope it lasts the season. When he wants to play, he is probably the best d-lineman in the league. Even last year he had flashes of dominance.

I still will always hate the guy and don't trust him until he proves it on the field.

I still think he will practice this week, but won't see him play until the regular season.

So why did you come back? Just fed up there was no place in China to find a good slice of lox and a schmear?

Welcome back to the U.S.

I won't be surprised if Haynesworth starts the season on the Bench.

If he's not ready, he's not ready. And he's never played a full 16 game season anyways.

"1. Please do not report on offensive or defensive strategy. This includes describing formations, personnel groups or non-conventional plays."

The media does not report things like this. It was a solid week into camp before any of them were bold enough to even mention a switch to the 4-3. If we want to know where Ellis lined up today, one of the 5000 people in the stands needs to elaborate, it's not coming from the media.

The media can report on whether Ellis was lining up at tackle or end. They tell us where the DBs are lining up, after all.

He did as a rookie in 2002 and started 3 games

Great, then link me the report where they say where Ellis lined up. Thanks in advance.

In fairness to Haynesworth, Fisher held him out the final two games in 2008 because the Titans locked up homefield advantage after they won 12 games.

Just ask Mike Reiss and/or Chris Price directly if you want to know.

he can't..his mouth is duct taped..that's why his handle is nmnmnmnmnmnmnmph:woohoo:

All reports, including those on the record from COACHES, is that Haynesworth has "done everything asked of him" and is working hard behind the scenes. While I remain one of those who thinks we should wait and see, the idea that he could be some waste of space tub-of-goo like Johnathan Sullivan is totally baseless.

You might try scrolling up and reading earlier posts. I posted the info about Ellis at the practice already.

This is great news! I really hope to see him play this preseason!
