Means Ellis can't be put on the PUP when cutdowns come.
That wasn't going to happen anyway. They weren't going to sign him for $4M unless he could pass the physical.

So you figure that teams are going to create a new blocking scheme that has never been used before of dedicating 4 of their 5 OL to block 2 DTs?
How can it be that anyone ever scored a point against a team with Hayneswroth on it?
I just can't believe I missed all of those time last year that the offense had to let other guys run free so they could block Wilfork.
I'm all for enthusiasm, but lets have the guy make a play before we call him the most dominant force that ever existed.
This board has gone wacky. We have people saying G Warren is a force because he made one play, and now Haynesworth will dominate the world and he hasn't even made one.
This is the same guy who was about the worst DT in the NFL last year, or have we forgotten that?
Oh and his last year in a 43 was 2009 and he was widely considered a disappointment.
So........ are you telling me that with both Vince Wilfork and Albert Haynesworth on the interior of a D Line (and playing well together - which remains to be seen), won't create nightmares for offensive blocking schemes.....
The point is....... in typical defensive situation...... BOTH, by the nature of their talent/size/athleticism would require 2 blockers to effectively contain. We often see Vince contained effectively with 2 guys (but often times not too ). By putting 2 guys up there that typicaly require 2 guys, then your heaping an s-load of pressure on the line, because, like you said, you can't realistically put 4 of 5 guys on two........ Something gotta give...... The past few years, they double Wilfork cuz then CAN. With Albert there, maybe they can..... maybe they can't. That's what has people salivating.
When is the last time we had 2 guys on the DL that absolutely commanded 2 guys to effectively contain most times they were lined up next to each other? (serious question by the way). We know that Vince is that guy, we highly suspect that Haynesworth will be that guy too (he has in the past at times).
It's the prospect........ and if you don't think the potential of VW and AH up front together has some devastating potential for this defense, then perhaps its you that needs to learn a bit about the game.

I caught my only practice of the year today. I was excited to see Haynesworth there but he didn't look to be participating. Just kind of standing around. Not sure about Ellis - I was far from the D.
Got caught in a torential downpour.
You lucky bastid! Oh what I would give to be caught in a torrential downpour here in central Texas.
We're not playing a bunch of college teams. Believe it or not there are some teams in the NFL with offensive lineman that can handle VW / AH one on one.
There was a huge cloud following me.
But at least you get good Tex Mex there.
Weird weather here. Poured on the drive to the stadium, got sunny and hot when there, then cloudy, then poured again. There was a huge cloud following me. Now I'm back in Providence and it's sunny, as always.
