Re: Pats release Levoir

Read it again, because you obviously miscomprehended.

I never said that one was right and the other was wrong. Please show me where I did.

I said that one broached the subject, and when the other responded with reason and rational, the first wrote that he didn't want to talk about it. It's hilarious to bring up a subject and then say 'I don't want to talk about it'.

It is what it is.

The problem was that you didn't bother to read it. Ken conceded my point, albeit doing so by claiming that there was no way to get an adequate replacement, apparently confusing "adequate" with "just as good".

For most of the rest of his post, he was arguing something I wasn't getting into, because it wasn't relevant to the point about having adequate replacements, and it's something that's been gone over time and again.

Again, if you hadn't been so keen on trying to get a dig in at me, perhaps your reading comprehension wouldn't have failed you.

I never said you did. I was playing devil's advocate stating both opinions could be right without either having to be wrong.

If you bring Charlize Theron and Connie Nielsen then sure.

Re: Pats release Levoir

Connie Neilsen....mmmmmm....

Re: Pats release Levoir

BTW, to get back on track in this thread...Levoir is 6'7'' 310...that's a little light in the seat...jeezus, I'm 6'3" about 305 (true story!)...he'd make some team that needs experienced depth along their O line happy for the time being...like, say, the Jets for instance. IN fact , the Jets could use three or four more Levoirs just in case they keep breaking what they have now..

Big deal, 6'7".

To play tackle for the Pats, one has to be 6'8" now!

But can you rush the passer?

Re: Pats release Levoir

The good news here is that another player who was good enough to be on the team last year is not this year.

And if this is the best that the Jests can do for a starting OLman, great!

.....you can never have enough Levoirs:singing:

Sounds like he's been rushing the buffet table . Unless that is 305 lb's of hardened steel, in which case I apologize.

I'm 5'6 147. I'm afraid Joker's going to tell me to "get in my belly!"

Re: Pats release Levoir

best bet would be Light at RG...give him a whole new position, make the old dog learn a new trick. Solder has already surpassed him at LT. That would be a good line, except for Koppen the weak at center. Oh well....Maybe Cannon could learn to play center.

BB has said that the only position Light can play is LT. That's it..not LG, not C, not RG and not even RT. They tried him at RT when he was a rookie or in his 2nd year and it wasn't good.

Just got back from my physical

5'9" and 189. If Welker or Branch go down, I'm available!

Here's the quote, although my interpretation is that it's more about Light's ability at Left Tackle vs Right Tackle ("Matt’s just a left tackle"). No mention of Light playing inside. I truly think that if they want the top five lineman to play Light will have to move inside and the one open position is RG. If Solder is deemed ready to start, I don't see them paying Light a guaranteed $7 million to sit on the bench so Connoly can play RG and I'm not convinced that they'll move Mankins and his $20 million guaranteed to the right side either. I think Light would do well at guard.

Belichick hints (again) at tackle situation's future - Extra Points - Boston.com

"In my brilliance," Belichick said with a smile, "I put [Light] at right tackle as a rookie. It didn’t really work out at all. He has the physical skills to play over there. But, then, he just … Matt’s just a left tackle. When you look at his skills, I don’t think you look at him and say, ‘Well, I don’t think he has the skills to play right tackle.’

"But he’s just much more comfortable on the left side and he’s a much better left tackle than he was a right tackle, when we tried to play him there his rookie year. Once we got him back to left tackle, he was a much better football player. That was his rookie year, so maybe if it was his third year, he would’ve adjusted to it better. I don’t know, we just left him at left because he’s done a good job for us over there."

Interesting, if that is true, wonder if he could play Center....I'm tired of NT's and 1 tech DT's pushing Koppen around.

Re: Pats release Levoir

Actually, I agree with him, much as it pains me to do so.

I imagine that others do, as well, but have more compunction, than I, about giving Deuce Awry support for anything at all, in light of the astonishingly persistent arrogance of his posts, coupled with an apparently complete contempt for mankind as an whole.

But that's just my take.

...

Grid

Not to get technical, but it's the "Douche Awry".

Re: Pats release Levoir

5'9" 180.

That's what this thread is about, right?
