Only a scumbag stomps a guys head while he is down and defenseless.
I dont care if he's a Pat now or not. This guy is trash.
That said... I hope he performs at stud level on the field. Im just not going into the season expecting it.
Fair enough!

dont like the move at all. He is a lazy pain in the ass and cost waaaaaay too much. On a positive note, teams are NOT running up the middle on us.
yea. 100 million dollars couldnt motivate him enough to pass the damn thing. What a loser.

This is pretty much an all win situation for us on the field. I don't see any hesitation cutting him if he starts acting up in the locker room or off the field considering we didn't give up a whole lot for him. We could probably trade him for a higher pick than we paid for him anyways if he performs on gameday but acts up too much off the field.
No brainer for talent, mild question for effort/cost, huge gamble off the field.
I love the trade because of its low risk nature, and this, thankfully, kills the notion that the team was going to stay in house to improve the pass rush.

It's taking shape.
I agree with this part.
All the other excuse making for his actions I will leave to you guys. Im not on board with that.
Always hated this guy especially since I do enjoy the Cowboys. I think he's fat, lazy, lethargic, and pathetic. He didn't want to play a 3-4, so why do we get him? I hope he pans out but something tells me he'll be a disappointment.
*sigh* He didn't want to play NT in the 3-4. He wanted to play DE. This has been discussed ad nauseum in this thread.
Guy' a dirtbag, and I'm going to have a hard time rooting for him as a human being, but he's a Patriot now, so I'll find a way. He either makes us a better team or he will be cut, so can't argue with that.
That's it in a nutshell. It's a great pleasure when people you can personally root for align with the team you root for, but realistically there are never 53 gold-plated mensches on an NFL roster. As long as Haynesworth's here, I hope he's a beast on the field.
Yes I get that. The more I've been reading and listening the more I like it. He'll play RDE and DT. Still don't like the guy. Hope he gives us two good years and then falls off a cliff. We should let BB stomp his head before he he plays.
I'm only kidding. I hope he shapes up and plays well.
I'm kind of thinking BB has JUMPED THE SHARK! on this one. Maybe he's CRAZY!
Big Al didn't like playing 3-4 and taking on blockers. Wilfork is also really good at being the penetrating type as is that guy from Kentucky we have....
Maybe we go more 4-3 try to penetrate the hell out of em and create some havoc...then allow an unblocked Mayo to clean things up. Maybe play some 4-2-5...
But maybe he's not crazy...maybe he's....CRAZY LIKE A FOX!
