At least the 2nd round is flying by compared to the 1st. Fewer trades, and more picks made.
I am still super surprised the Pats didn't trade down out of #33 though.
Either BB couldn't find a good trade offer or the Pats really like Ras-I Dowling.

I'd select the Lions everyday... when I play Madden 2012.

Sure if you like picking teams that suck in the real game, but are awesome in a video game, go for it! Lions defense is seriously stacked this year but I think they need to address keeping Stafford upright.

personally i recon that was a mistake for detroit. i recon if they selected bowers... they would sell out every game with a front 4 of Bowers Suh Fairly Van DenBosh. Even if Bowers is only a rental. That front 4 would be scary

Believe it or not Cliff Avril had 8.5 sacks for them last year. I think their front 4 is set for the next 5 years or so.

When the Patriots end up addressing the pass rush in this draft, I hope all of the whiners in here can take a voluntary hiatus and have their heads examined.

Still waiving your BB pom poms Jack huh?

When does the WR run begin ... ???

Houston is the best player left on the board. He's not going to make it 12 picks, unless we're very very lucky. I wonder what it would take to trade up to one of Denver's picks?

Houston and Austin are the most explosive front 7 players left. Drafttek live sim has Houston slipping. They have Jordan Toddman on the rise to round two. I'd like a trade up.

Titus Young @ 44 to Detroit.

I apprecieate that you know the pick ahead of the espn/nfl network coverage, but you are kind of killing my draft experience by anouncing picks before they are anounced on my tv.

IF Butler is not a failed pick, why have they drafted CBs at #29 and #33????
This picks screams that Butler is a failed pick, next to whilite and wheatley, they have a better batting average with the UDFAs

Butler has made more good plays in his second year than Asante had.

Because we all know that you find pass rushers in the later rounds.....

Oh wait Tully was a seventh round pick and look how good he is

Just returned from dinner and saw that Jenkins & Reed are gone. I'll bet it's been fun here, huh? ;)

Because Dowling will most likely play safety and not corner. He may moonlight as a corner like Chung, but his best fit will be at safety.

Also, don't forget that the DB depth falls off dramatically now, yet there are still a bunch of pass rushers available. The ones left might not be your favorite, but BB might prefer one of them and him and his staff knows more about these guys than you or I do.

anyone else start to look up free agent DL and LB yet?

No, I'm waiting for the draft to be over before I make my idiotic pronouncements.

LOL, I'm sure BB is waiting with baited breath for those as well. ;-)

Yeah, great point, dude. Being that we're IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SECOND ROUND and have two picks left.

Oh, who am I kidding. Arguing with a guy who put Brandon Tate on a list of defensive backs.
