The Saints say howdy. What are you thinking?

The Saints say howdy??? So you are saying that the Saints bought themselves a SB??? *ROFLMAO* Thanks.. I needed a good laugh on a dreary, snowy day here in North Texas...

You get the :bricks:....

DW - you should go back to whatever cave you were hiding in. The talk of trading for Fitzgerald has its own thread.

Branch is not 22. He'll be 32 in July. Welker will be 30. Edelman, Tate, and Price will be 25 or younger.

Your evaluation of Tate is garbage. Price gave us a glimpse of what he should be able to bring to the table next year.

This draft is better than the 2006 draft. Fitzgerald will cost a lot more to get than Moss did. And you also forgot that Moss took a pay cut in his first year.

So you are back to seeing the future and being able to tell that there is no sure fire impact DE..

The Chargers have to figure out who they are keeping.. Floyd, Jackson or Weddle...

Your talent evaluation skills are what are poop.. but we've all known that for ages.

Well, at least I know I am not on the bottom of the evaluation list. I kicked your buttocks this year Mr. Jack Ha! (that ticks you off, doesn't it) with some of my statements that are all theory as I say but that I backed up. I did not hit them all but I did o.k. You talk like you are some kind of know it all. Well you are not Cousin. You're no better than anyone else on this forum. Now you are really mad I bet. You and your little minions who have no mind of their own and follow you like you are a cult hero. You should be ashamed.

Now we are getting back to point, hey Jack? This helps us get started again. I never said I see the future. You put words in my mouth sir. And yes, this Draft class rots!(perhaps slightly better than 2006 I will give you that much.). If you have something worth while I will reply. If not I won't and you win o.k.?

I dispute it when people on this board thing they are in Belichick's head and think without a doubt they know what he will do. If Asomugha is looking for a $70 million dollar contract than he won't get that from the Pats. If he wants to play for a winning team and is willing to sign an affordable contract than you have to consider him.
Did I say I think I am in his head?
I said that if you look at the facts of how he has operated you can learn something about his philosophy of acquiring players.
You appear to think that it is a better approach to ignore anything he has ever done and take a wild guess?

If Asomugha requests a contract that makes him a relative bargain, that is, it is reasonable based upon the decline in his play you must consider over the length of the deal, and is below one representing the best corner in the NFL, which he was in his 20s, then he would become a value acquisition and BB will listen.
The history of Free Agency in the NFL suggests such a scenario is all but impossible.

The Saints did not follow that approach or anything close to it.

DW - Even a broken watch is right twice a day..

I have no minions and I can guarantee that Reflex, MoLewis and Myself put more thought into our statements that you do. Your claim that we have no mind of our own is just stupidity on your part. You just can't handle the reality that you talk out your arse with pretty much nothing to support your claims..

And yes, you do claim to see the future when you make statements like "There is no sure fire impact DE" or "This Draft class is poop". You can't possibly know how this draft class is going to turn out. Also, 2006 was actually a pretty decent year. I believe you were referring to 2007, which was an absolutely horrible draft class...

And no. I don't talk like I am a know it all. I talk like someone who knows a LOT, but not everything. Unlike you, I admit when I am wrong and I am always looking to learn.

What are you talking about? I don't know what ralfmayo means. Sorry. Many of the very good roster on last years Saints were trades and FAs. Are you trying to say that Team was built by the Draft? Where does it say I say to buy a Championship? I have news for you. Draft sites have suggested that Fitz and the Pats are a good fit. I said "I" would rather have him than anyone on the board. If I said BB I appologize.

North Texas? Now I understand. Sometimes you come up with really good stuff and I tell you so. Other times you sound like that kid Jack who I am sure is some pimple faced high school kid who lives at home.

This column is for opinion. You always attack others who differ than you. Why? It's o.k. to attack me because I could care less. I see no point in attacking the other posters personally even if you disagree. I know you are no little teenage kid like Jack. You are welcome to take a shot at my opinions but it doesn't make you right. Is that a fair statement?

When the hell have you ever admitted you are wrong!!!!!!????
I will give you this you could be right about the year of the draft class so I stand corrected. Good one. Touche!
Reflex and Mo put out good stuff. I don't always agree. They might have even agreed with me once or twice in the last many years. They crucify me upon occasion. Not always but they don't show their butt like you do.

I don't take myself or the comments seriously on this forum. It is for ideas and opinions. Show me where it says I have to agree with what you say or I won't be cool like you? Why bother reading my stuff? You can ignore it. Some do.

Hey, what do you mean? !? I am your mindless minion and have smooched a lot of butt on the way up to get there!

Most troublesome here in minion land is to learn that you know a lot but not everything. What is it that you do not know, exactly? The minions are nervous and considering defecting to Deus Irae unless you come clean with all that you do not know.

This is very, very bad.

I wasn't singling you out with that, I've been going back and forth since Tuesday about Asomugha in this thread and dealing with a couple of Belichick Jrs. I've said all along that signing NA would be unlikely but if he wanted to come here and a reasonable deal could be worked out, they would have to be interested and having Wilhite, Arrington, Butler and even Bodden on this team isn't reason enough to dismiss Asomugha.

Other times you sound like that kid Jack who I am sure is some pimple faced high school kid who lives at home.

Why are you bringing me into this with random personal attacks? Well, allow me to respond in kind. You'll have to forgive me if I don't put too much stock in the opinion of a bizarre, borderline incoherent poster who inexplicably calls other people "Cousin" and constantly bemoans the fact that we didn't sign the awesome Adam Carriker (because, after all, he has more tackles than our defensive linemen!).

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Cousin.

I think BB remember AD and starks and all the other high priced FA busts he's had. He's learned the hard way to build through the draft and low priced acquisitions.

The team Pats was once referred to as the "patsies" either lovingly or mockingly. BB doesn't want to be the patsy...he's sick of it. AD made a fool out of him and he couldn't do nothing about it. (movie reference, can you spot it?)...

so he's reluctant to sign mankins to big bucks and there's no way he's getting aso or fitgerald.

Trade the draft for fitzgerald? Madness...who is going to play all the other positions?

C'mon kid, stop with this nonsense. You're a poster who writes his own name at the end of every post just to for people here to remeber you.

DW - I don't always "attack" people who have a differing opinion. On the contrary. There are plenty of times I don't say a damn thing. It's the people who make stupid, wild arsed comments like you do that ruffle my feathers. I called you out on your stupidity of making claims that you just can't back up. And, I'm sorry, but my saying that your claims are BS unless you can see the future does make me right.

Now, DW, I may live in North Texas, now, but I grew up in New England. I've been following this team probably since before you were in diapers.. It's been in the last 15 years or so that I really got more into the Pats and the NFL..

As for your silliness with the New Orleans roster. Why don't you let us know how many of their players on last year's roster had been drafted by the Saints and how many were added via trade or free agency. I think you'll be surprised at how many pieces are home grown.

As for Fitzgerald, you are months late on that. He's been talked about numerous times. This is not something that you are just bringing to the board now. So stop pretending like you are some savant with that idea. It's going to cost at least a 1st and 3rd to get Fitzgerald. Not to mention a new contract for him in the 9-10 million range. I'd love to add him, but the Pats have a very good corps of receivers and they need to let the youth develop. And they won't develop if you don't get them game reps. Also, as I said regarding Asomugha, I don't see the Pats adding another double digit man beyond Brady. Not with the way that this team make-up is.

Bodden is only getting paid 5 mill a year. I'd just stick with him. A good bargin for a very good corner. I though Bodden would be looking for 8-10 mil range last off season.

We should sign that one guy.
