I really think this in the move we will see

I bet BB surprises many by not going outside the team and moves up Jenkins to the #4 WR ahead of Price who has not looked as good in preseason.

IMO meet the man who will occupy the vacant spot of Moss....it's #10

They filled the open slot on the roster by bringing back Ojinnaka, so what roster move would they make to promote Jenkins?

Don't know, just have a hunch our new receiver will not be so new...Jenkins seems like a hard worker,a bam Childress type of guy,the difference is I think unlike bam,Darnell gets his chance soon.

I would be VERY shocked if we do a deal for a WR outside the team in week 5,had the Moss trade taken place after he opened his big mouth following the Cincy game then yes but to me it's too late to throw a guy in there and expect him to blend in quickly....Branch is more than washed up IMO

Maybe that move has something to do with Kasczur. Is he available? If not, how long do they keep that spot? He's really not a starter this season as far as I can see.

Kaczur is a starter when Neal inevitably misses time. Might work out perfectly that Kaczur is back exactly when he's needed.

Neal is often injured, but i wouldn't bet on Kaczur being the first replacement. Remember, he was just starting to convert to guard. I'd say it's no more than a coin flip he would start over at least three guys with more experience playing guard than him.

Even if Jenkins gets promoted to the 53-man roster, how much playing time on anything other than special teams do you envision for him? For one thing I think we'll see a higher percentage of 2TE sets considering who is on the roster now. And at WR, how much time would Jenkins realistically get (barring unforeseen injury) behind Tate, Welker, and Edelman - even if you don't consider Price and Slater?

Seems a bit premature to bury your 6'1" rookie WR with 4.4 speed to give snaps to a journeyman WR that is significantly shorter and slower, doesn't it? Instead of wondering why we can't find a WR like Mike Wallace in the draft...shouldn't we see if we already have one on the roster?

It's possible, if they feel the need. I'd prefer a vet, but looking at attractive names finds guys who seem to have lost it, or are injured. If price gets some snaps, maybe we're set for now.

If Price was on another team we'd be clamoring for him.

Unless Jenkins has improved his route running (which was borderline terrible), then no... I don't see it happening.

Have you ever seen Jenkins play?

Yeah, I was going to say that Jenkins seems to be lightning quick. The only problem is that his route running sucks.

Have you seen him run routes in the preseason during games or practices or is this the take of the informed media? Not doubting you, just wondering if you could expand on this with some examples.

He ran the bubble screen awesome in the preseason, but there is no way for the average fan to tell how he ran his down field routes watching on TV.

Yes. They were also a HUGE problem for him coming out of Miami. If you're not buying it, then ask yourself why someone as fast as he is has been relegated to the practice squad.

scored an amazing TD against Atlanta from a screen pass.

I'd like to see Price get some more time.

I've seen him take short passes and turn them into a couple of big gains against defenders who are currently looking for employment in the construction or food service industries.

There is nothing wrong with Jenkins, but people have to keep their heads. I mean, 4.2 speed? Really? He is a 5'10", 4.5 guy with good short-area quickness. Same as Edelman. Price has legit 4.4 speed to challenge deep and the length to compete for the ball in the air. Seems like a more appropriate skill set for the Pats at this point.

Watch Jenkins catch and run for a touchdown in pre-season - Price comes from the other side of the field and is easily catching up to Jenkins. Yes Jenkins is significantly slower than Price that is why Price is a 3rd round pick and Jenkins is an UFA. Jenkins is another small quick - kind of a twiner; slower than Price and Tate but not as quick as Edelman and Woodhead.
