Denver gives me hope......

Week 8 was against Baltimore. The same team that Brady threw 3 INTs against later that same year. All in all, Orton actually played them decently well.

Week 9 was a terrible game. Everyone has them from time to time, especially against teams like Pittsburgh.

Week 10 he had a good game: 61% completion, 193 yards, 2 TDs, no turnovers... what's wrong with that? Once again, most teams would be thrilled to get that from their QB.

Week 11: Pretty weak stat line, sure. I saw that game, and there were a whole lot of reasons why they lost. There was nothing that Orton could have done to prevent that thrashing.

Week 14: Are you serious? 277 yards, 70% completion, 2 TDs, and 1 INT... how is that a bad game? The fact that they continued to lose even getting that kind of production from him just highlights even better that it wasn't his fault.

Replace 10 with 16 and 14 with 15.

Great topic, not many people notice Orton leads the league, more yards than Manning, Brees, and Rodgers. So saying that a passing game is dependent on one man pulling safties or dragging double teams is ridiculous. I have seen guys throw for 400 yards several times without a monster first option, or a run game to back them up.

Thank you Dutchman.

Sure. In week 15, he had 278 yards, a touchdown, no turnovers and a 92.5 rating. No way you can blame him for that, even if his comp% was a little low.

In week 16, he had 189 yards, 66% completion, 3 TD and 1 INT. That should always enough to win. Not his fault that the Eagles put up 30 on their D.

Over the 10 week span from weeks 8-17, when the Broncos went 2-8, Orton had 2 bad games, 2 below average games, 2 exceptional games, and 4 good games. Should have been more than enough to make the playoffs.

Alright Kyle Orton was not the main reason for their collapse but anytime a team goes 2-8 for a ten game span should have something to do with QBs
