Awww look. Sanchez singing a duet with Lance Bass...

That picture will be sure to quell the rumors.

There were rumors??

Sanchez attending a Justin Bieber concert, and the whole "unicorn pissing rainbows" incident on Hard Knocks is the first that I've heard of these rumors.

Brady is married to a super model but apparently he's gay to those idiot Jest fans.

Gay isn't what they were using...it's usually bestiality based on that famous goat picture.

Sanchez looks more comfortable on the stage with Bass than in pocket behind his o-line. Maybe he should quit the Jets and join the N'Sync reunion.

They can use Sexy Rexy as their PR guy.

No, 90% of the Brady bashing on JI is calling him gay, then they bring up that picture. Either way, they are the same idiots who have a thread claiming Namath is top 10 if not the best all time.

I saw it more as bestility than making him out to be gay but either way that is nothing compared with the now TWO shots of Sanchez that brings about that talk...at least Brady is still at one.

Tom and I have a purely professional relationship.

I don't think anyone here would think anything other than that...

What would you expect, it's an honest work that the upscale New Yorkers have to belittle because it is "beneath" them

248+ pages of entertaining content....I love it. I'm trying to tackle the goal of reading this entire topic.

Now, from another AFC East team fan's perspective (yeah I know, I'm a Bills fan, queue the Boy I Love Losing SBs, queue the we're moving up to Canada story, and queue the "Buffalo is still a team?" remarks).

I dislike the Patriots by committee, and before the Rex Ryan era started, it was an easy choice to me - cheer for the Jets whenever they played the Patriots. Now it's gotten to the point where I wouldn't care if New England just curbstomped the Jets in every meeting.

I am a firm believer that the Jets backed into the playoffs after Indy laid down for them. If the Colts never rested their starters and let the Jets watch the playoffs from the comfort of their own homes in January, we wouldn't even be having discussion - the Patriots would be the clear, undisputed favorites to win the AFC East with no noise from the Jets in 2010.

But that isn't the case, isn't it? The Jets have already won Super Bowl XLV, so it's best if we just relaxed and gave the Lombardi trophy to the Jets. Now we have to deal with the "Patriots are done, Jets are a SB contender, etc" crap. The Jets have shown absolutely NOTHING to us that they can topple the Patriots and take the AFC East.

Right now as I see it, the Patriots are still the favorites to win the AFC East. Miami and New York will duke it out for 2nd place, and the Bills will just sit back and maybe play spoiler.

Anyhow, back to the Jets. Like I said, they've shown us absolutely nothing in the preseason that they're going to make any kind of noise in the season. Yeah, I know "it's only preseason", but nothing has changed for the Jets. The offense has been absolutely atrocious in the preseason (even Buffalo's starting offense has been effective for crying out loud). Sanchez is having absolutely pitiful games so far, showing us that he hasn't changed any of his rookie antics.

And this paragraph is dedicated to Sanchez. I don't get why Jets fans said this guy had a brilliant, stunning, and breathtaking postseason. Against the Bengals, he only threw the ball 15 times, while he rode his running game and defense to victory. Against the Chargers, he was 12 of 23 for 100 yards. Let that sink into your heads. That's about 51% of his passes. Again, against the Chargers, he rode his running game, defense, and Nate Kaeding's annual postseason choking to victory. It's gotten to the point where Sanchez's playbook was COLOR CODED.

Also, the Jets are in no position to take the AFC East when they can't even put up a winning record against their own division. They went 2-4 (split Pats, split Bills, swept by Miami), and had that godawful stretch in the middle of the season.

It's gotten to the point where I have to re-assess how much I hate my lovely division rivals. Before the Rex Ryan era, like I said, it was the Patriots by committee. Now, I want to see the Jets fail more than anyone else. I don't exactly have a soft spot for the Patriots, but their team, coach, and fans are Ten Thousand times more tolerable than the Jets are. And coming in third, Miami. The Miami-Buffalo rivalry kind of took a back seat after the Kelly/Marino era, and since these two teams have been irrelevant for the past decade, there's no reason for me to put them up top.

I'm kind of scared to make my account over at Gang Green. Even the fans over at Miami are vicious. I made my account here to chip in my two cents now and then, and not do anything to get smothered by the Patriots fans here.

So anyhow, back to ripping the Jets apart, shall we?

As a long time football message board denizen I can attest to the fact that the most vicious, anti Patriot fans in the AFC East have always been our Bills brethren.Worst anti-social board in history was the old Democrat-Chronicle(?) board back in the 90's. Those were REAL Patriot haters back then...so I understand your post completely...times have changed...I hated the Miami Dolphins for decades with the same passion. Funny...today...this season...this team in Jersey...Phins, Pats,Bills...we've put the old animosities aside...if somehow the Bills win the division and go to the playoffs and the Pats sit it out, I'm a Bills fan.Even the hated fish, I can handle that.Nah, you don't have to explain anything...welcome aboard...I can admit Bills fan is worthy of our respect...we *****ed and moaned about that loss to the Giants in the Super Bowl but I don't think ANY Patriot would have enjoyed living through Norwood and wide right...the Bill WERE the best team in the NFL that year and carried the standard for the AFC East when we plain sucked...as a Pats fan I understand the hurt that must have been felt the loyal Bills fans.

THIS is a completely different animal...the Phins have enjoyed success, the Bills dominated the NFL going to four Super Bowls in the Kelly era.The Pats shattered their image as losers by stunning the NFL in the bowl versus the Rams. The ONLY team in our division that has ZERO to shoot their mouth off for, that has been a punching bag for Miami in their glory years, and the Bills in their dominant Kelly era is these damned bigmouthed Rats.

So welcome to the best Patriots board in the world...there's homers and pessimists and geniuses and morons(I'm probably one of those) but YOU will be a better NFL fan interacting here than probably any other fan site on the net.One year the Bills destroyed the Pats 31-0 in the opener...were the Bills that good??...was Milloy that big of a mistake?...well the Pats won the Super Bowl that year but Bills fan STILL had that obliteration to hang their hat on...see what I'm driving at? There was no Bills hate here...were the Bills that good...was Milloy a mistake?...heh...forget that...that year the Jets sucked...in fact, as the Bills season degenerated and the Pats went on a roll I think the Bills STILL buried the Jersey disgrace.

Anyway, I just thought you'd like to know you can still hate the Pats ( I would if I got suckered into Bledsoe too) but above and beyond that you can participate here as a respected football fan without fear of being insulted, demeaned, disrespected or degraded. We do that amongst ourselves without any outside influence with great fervor and intensity. We have a Saints fan who is regular here...he came on board when they slaughtered us last season...he was a little cautious until he found that WE, Pats fans, knew why we got destroyed and why we saw the debacle as an obvious measure of the kind of team the 2009 Pats were, but the funny thing was, when he asked what we thought about the matchup in the Super Bowl, almost all of us HAD TO tell him..."the Saints are gonna kill Pay Me Tons!"...for real...read the archives...and being a Bills fan YOU know Moonhead HATES playing up there in Buffalo too. Who did YOU want to win last season???

So yeah, welcome to one of the best fan sites in existence and don't hold back...Buffalo fan's perspective can really add a measure of sanity to the discussion here...and yeah, the Bills should have beaten our ass last year in the opener and it probably would have been a good thing for our team, but there ain't no Bills fan, Miami fan or NE fan that had anything but contempt for the laydown that got the Rats in the playoffs last year.THAT just ain't right.

Heh, good luck. And good post. I think we can all agree that the Jest suck. It's been a while since I've had ye olde Bills hate. Even in the early 1990s, at least the Bills really were the best team in the NFL.

In any event, I see you really are a "pilgrim in unholy land". A Bills fan in Attleboro?

So anyhow, back to ripping the Jets apart, shall we?

Yes. Yes, we shall.

Hey, you can't blame Jest fans for being confused when it comes to animals and sexuality.

Welcome and join the crowd in this quest of attempting to decipher the goal of this topic!

Are the pre-season games a good indicator of what each player and team is capable of? I don't think so.

How about other teams which do so well in the pre-seasons but yet falter once the season begins?

Not sure if you are aware of a back-up qb with the Pats who was derided and given up by many fans after his preseason performance two seasons ago. I believe he did decently enough to bring us to the brink of playoffs with a record tied to that of the division leader and is now currently the starting qb of the Chiefs.

So, I don't take any of the pre-season stats for consideration because I consider them equivalent to that from an intense practice session that might have other objectives not reflected in the qb's #s.

PS: wish I could have welcomed you under a different thread than the current one. Now wait, I don't want anyone starting a "The Bills Suck" thread please.

Maybe, but I recall the Jets having a lot of their #1s in the 3rd qtr of the Giants game sending two to three blitzers. I do think they're trying, because if they stink it up too bad, they won't be able to sell all those PSLs. Remember, the Jets are all about hype BEFORE the season starts. It doesn't follow that they're mailing in their preseason games.

They'll start out pretty slow I think...where they go from there will be interesting.

Oh, and they suck

haha thanks. Like I said, I know it's only preseason, but this preseason it doesn't look like the Jets have changed anything from 2009. If you've listened to the Jets homers, you'd think Sanchez would dethrone Peyton, Brady, and Brees this season. Sanchez has looked awful and inaccurate, like he did his rookie season.

Yeah, that was the last time we've beaten you guys, the 31-0 beatdown from 2003. I was in 7th grade when that happened. Here I am, 2nd year in college, 13 losses to New England later.

I was at the Bills-Patriots MNF opener last season. I guess while I'm posting here, I can share my Gillette experience. If anyone remembers a Bills fan wearing a Jim Kelly jersey in Section 315, Row 5, Seat 11, that was me. Even though the Patriots never had the lead until the final part of the game, I still had the feeling Buffalo would lose the game, because we were just playing outright sloppy on defense (Brady completed near 80% of his passes, not a good feeling at all). After we scored to go up 2 possessions, I was thinking, "alright, let's stop them once, it's all we've got to do." Never happened. Then McFumblin' ended up losing the game for us. I supported his decision to run out of the end zone, because Buffalo didn't want to give New England the 2 minute warning for extra timeout. What I DIDN'T support was him fighting for an extra yard or two on a frigign' kickoff return. Just fall down and take what you have.

Even if Buffalo didn't fumble the ball on the kickoff, we'd had to punch out a first down to put the game away for good. And the Bills have been HORRIBLE at clock management in this past decade, and that itself has costed them a handful of games. Took me a LONG time to get over this game.

Then remember the 2nd Bills vs. Patriots game in 2009? That was about as ugly as a game as you could get. At the time, I thought we had a chance to beat them. If you remember the 2009 season, New England was 2-6 on the road (1-6 in the United States). New England was also playing awful in the second half on the road that season (offense would be shut down, defense would dry out and give up the lead), and I thought Buffalo could take advantage of that. Even on that day, New England's offense didn't exactly play great (I think Brady had a mediocre game). But our offensive line let up 16 million sacks. The final score ended up being 17-10, and we held the Patriots to only a field goal in the second half (it was a defensive struggle for both teams). The game came down to a 3rd and 6 for the Patriots, and Brady hits Welker to put the game away. If we make the stop, we get one more chance to send the game into OT.

2003 was an odd year for Buffalo. We had one of the league's best defenses, but our offense was outright horrible. If we had a decent offense at the least, we could've made a push into the playoffs.

As far as Peyton Manning is concerned....well......let's not go in that general direction. I won't exactly get a lot of sympathy here.
