The Jets suck (merged)

I've never met such a sorry group of individuals on any forum. You guys take the cake. Until I found this place, I ranked the Dolphins as more annoying but you guys make them seem very cool. Regardless, I'm entertained by your neverending drivel. So thanks for the comedy you guys call "Patriots fans".

Obviously you've never spent any time over at Jets Insider. Talk about a classless, smack talking trash of a fanbase. There's a few good guys over there. Some of the Mods are decent guys too. But on the whole, it's nothing but "This is OUR YEAR!....We're the BEST and the Patsies suck, etc. This place is NOTHING like the *********** that goes on over there. BTW, if a Pats fan wrote your post on a Jest board, you'd be banned in a heartbeat.

Why a scumbag as yourself can still post here is beyond me.

I mean you guys talk about the class shown by your organization and their players, knock Rex as a loudmouth, and then talk in the most disrespectufl manner. And it's not just in this thread. It's all over your forum. Victory has taken the class out of the Patriots fans mouths. I'm sincerely surprised at the never ending crap you guys talk. It's not just a rivalry, it's fear and hate and you've mastered it.

So... does this mean that you're going to leave, finally? Why are you still here?

I know another kid that is a bills fan, we are always trading jabs back and fourth about our teams..the other day I happen to say how sanchez sucks, and right away our hate toward eachothers teams turned into mutual hate for the jets, both of us agree that the jets suck....one good thing about the jets, theur suckage brings two rival fans together.

True; to be totally honest, I don't really mind the Dolphins or Bills. Sure, they're our rivals, but in of itself that doesn't bother me (I'm pretty okay with the Colts for the same reason). The list of teams that I really don't like is a pretty short one: Jets, Ravens, Steelers. Mostly because none of those teams figured out that playing is more important than talking.

It's amazing how insecure most of you are. This should be a complete non-story.

That is not true, your thousands of posts on JI prove that

Why a scumbag as yourself can still post here is beyond me.

Comments like this will get you a min ban at JI.

For me, at least, it comes down to a team's organizational philosophy and general conduct of its fan base. The Green Beans are lamentable in both categories. Most NFL teams and their fans have a fair degree of integrity (although I've never been keen on the Chargers and the Raiders are a joke). In the AFCE, the Bills simply are inept as an organization, their fans are OK. The Dolphins really don't have much of an identity either way; at least, not at the present time. But the 'Beans are actively obnoxious from top to bottom.

You don't have a problem with the Bills and the Dolphins because they've never been much of a threat. You want to talk about the class of an organization? The Jets players are constantly talking about how they want to play for a coach like Rex Ryan. Example: Here's a tweet by Braylon Edwards - "Rex is by far the realest straight up and down head coach I've ever had. This season is definately going to be a special one, mark my words". These types of comments aren't exclusive, they are the norm. Even Jason Taylor talks about how motivated he is to play for a coach like Rex. You can throw around your fat jokes all you want. They don't bother Rex Ryan and your "dynasty" has come to an end. I challenge you to come on here on September 19th and admit it after you lose to the Jets. Instead, I imagine you'll go back to your usual mantra of bashing Ryan or talking about how many Super Bowls you have won. That's all you have left to hold on to, is your past. Wes Welker is an amazing player. His response "One game at a time" was appropriate. But Ryans "Soon To Be Champs" comment was just as apropriate. This isn't the balet Tuney, this is football, where players play hard and their coaches should lead by example. And the example Ryan is setting for his players is that it's okay to believe you can win this thing. How can you do it if you don't believe. The Jets can win the Super Bowl this year, They have the talent. They have an excellent coaching staff. If they can stay injury free (mostly), and get revis on the field, you can talk all the crap you want, but it won't change one thing. This ain't the old AFC East anymore. Everyone else can see that besides you guys. So keep talking. That's all you can do until the 19th. I mean it when I tell you, you guys are simply amusing the heck out of me. And I can't wait to see you on the 20th of September.

As I've already demonstrated in this very thread, this is simply not true.

If it wasn't for Gunnails and a select few others, I'd recommend that the APA classify Jets fandom as a mental disease.

Im inclined to say Jets fandom should be classed as a mental disease, mainly because after visiting Jets Insider, i have since learned that Mark Sanchez was "damn brilliant" last year, his footwork and elusiveness was "unmatched" and he throws a "perfect" pass on the run. This of course all happened despite Sanchez leading "the most complicated offense in the league."

Please supply me with the list of all the HCs who bragged to the media that they were going to win a championship then went on to do so.
Alternatively list all of the HCs who made such egotistical comments to the media who had less on their resume than Rex Ryan does.
Oh, you dont even have to hit a key to do that.

The guy is a train wreck who has done nothing but unrealistically build up the expectations of Jet fans.
You have an average team that plays with average results, and made average off-season moves, yet your coach is building you up as some type of elite team. You were 7-7 in games that the opponent tried, including 3-4 against losing teams.
I think what most fans are saying is that your team should actually play like contender before deaclaring you are the favorite. (And een iof you are the favorite, you would still have the first HC on NFL history who feels it is important to go around telling everyone) Its actually a low class move by what appears more and more to be a low class HC. The acorn doesnt fall far from the tree.

The person shown in this video is not just some random middle-aged drunken fan who swears and yells meaningless nonsense as he watches the game but is actually supposed to be coaching it -- you know, engaging in planning and making strategic decisions as the game continues. Unbelievable!

The dolphins have consistently been more of a threat than the Jets. When's the last time the Jets won the division? Even this year, the Dolphins (who, in case you forgot, swept you last season) have a better team than the Jets do. I liked the Odrick and Misi picks, and Marshall is going to open things up a lot for them- luckily, I'm not even remotely sold on Henne.

The reason why I don't mind the Dolphins has nothing to do with them being a threat or not being a threat. Like I said, I don't mind the Colts either, we're something like 1-5 against them since 2004. I also like the Saints and Broncos, and they both beat us last year. The reason why I don't mind the Dolphins is because they had one player who I couldn't stand--Jerry Porter--and they cut him. I'm not a huge Channing Crowder fan either, but every team has guys you don't like.

Even if the Green Beans win on Sept. 19, which is possible (they did it last year), their organization and fan base still will suck. Yours is a team that has sold its soul for PSL sales. Everything it has done in the last year-plus -- hiring a loudmouth coach, hiring low-character players like Holmes and Cromartie, begging to be on "Hard Knocks," etc. -- smacks of financial desperation. They couldn't do it with integrity and build a solid organization from the ground-up because that wouldn't be flashy enough and would take too long. They need to sell PSLs NOW to remain solvent. They're going for the big, short-term bang in a wild, crazy attempt to draw attention and become relevant in a market dominated by the Giants. It's all a big fake dog-and-pony show, with Jabba Wrecks playing the role of carnival barker: "Step right up folks! See the fearless upcoming champions! Don't miss out, buy your PSLs now!" Don't be a sucker. Your years of pain (Herm, Mangini, savior Favre, etc.) have got you believing this charade. Whatever success on the field your team experiences this year will be VERY short term, and there's a good chance it will implode sooner than later because of the shaky foundation built by people of low character, from Woody Johnson to backstabber Tannenbaum to an obese head coach who admits he knows nothing about offense ... It's a huge, elaborate joke. Save yourself now!

I was talking to a Jets fan that I know today (don't like him, but he shows up at my pick-up football games I have with friends). When I asked him what he thought of his team being so arrogant he replied with "it's not arrogant....winning the Super Bowl is what it's all about so why shouldn't they say they're going to win it?"

Forget the fact that they're all acting like it's a foregone conclusion that they're going to win it and basically guaranteeing it. This guy also said he expects Greene to run for 1500 yards and the Jets to win the division by at least 2 games.

I just roll my eyes.

is this a bad time to suggest a "Be Kind To Jet Fan" week of back slapping and congratulations on their inevitable Super Bowl win???

That is assuming they win the Week 2 Super Bowl.

I think it is a good idea...but should be held after the season ends when the Jets are watching the Patriots and 12 other teams in the playoffs while they sit at home muttering about getting them next year.
