I'll grant that Cromartie is an upgrade over Sheppard. Not a huge one, but he's an upgrade. Although it does call to mind how you guys were all saying the EXACT same things about Sheppard when you got him that you're saying about Cromartie now. I would expect that the Sheppard debacle would be an object lesson to you guys in how trading for a Pro Bowl name with diminished skills doesn't necessarily improve your team, but... well, not everyone learns from the past.
When Santonio Holmes' suspension ends, he'll be helpful, but his touches will just come at the expense of Braylon Edwards (yet another example of a recent savior turned into a pariah today, along with Faneca, Rhodes, Washington, Gholston, and Favre). And BTW, the Jets could very easily be 1-3 before he even steps on the field.
The rest? Jason Taylor and Tomlinson aren't improvements. Do you really think that Tomlinson, at this point in his career, is better than Thomas Jones? Because if so, that, in particular, is what makes your post ridiculously homerific. That and expecting that a rookie is going to immediately replace Faneca, who, even in his diminished state, was still more than capable against the run.
