A lot of hate for Dez Bryant here today, apparently hes a "douche bag" and "not very bright" even though hes an academic all american...go figure. I just want to know beforehand who you guys don't want, and before you go ahead and say anything, I dont mind the McCourty pick but IMO it puts a lot of emphasis on today in filling some bigger needs.

I don't want Gronkowski. He has a bad back in some reports and feel like we can get a TE much later in the draft who is comparable.

if the spinal stuff is true, I'd prefer that we pass on Gronkowski, and if we pick Taylor Mays I'd be upset.

Academic All American? OK...I'll bite....an interview in his own words..

Dez Bryant: "Whoever passes up on me, it's over with" | ProFootballTalk.com

"I'm not the type of person that will try to confront somebody but now I feel like it's gone too far. It's gone too far," Bryant said to the Associated Press. "I haven't did anything wrong to nobody."

obviously a real academician...more???

Bryant also took umbrage with our report about his missing cleats. He said he had six pairs with him, just not his favorite one. And that it may not have made a difference.

"What do this got to do with me playing football? Even if I did forget my cleats, what do that have to do with me playing football? I don't think it has anything to do with me playing football."

Back when I was at B.U., an academic All American had to have a basic grasp of the English language at LEAST. If THIS is what you propose is proof that the detractors are wrong and he's a near genius, I would submit that your knowledge of the history of illiterates that graduate in that conference with honors for decades is acutely sparse.

Gronkowski.....This TE who as not played in over a year screams bust to me

Take Pitta or Shuler later

I think it would be very, very unfair to make a judgment on a person's intelligence solely on their use of the English language when I think we can all accept different areas/cultures in this country have different ways of speaking. There is not necessarily a correlation to intelligence.

And if you're going to suggest that Dez Bryant conform to what you and I would deem grammatically correct - why should he? He's going to be a wealthy man without having to change the way he speaks. Furthermore, it's not like he's going to be writing dissertations in the NFL, I can't see how his use of grammar has any relevance.

Please don't draft an OL today. Please.

Agree with Gronkowski. I'd rather get the TE from Miami a little later on.

does it matter

does it matter

You do know that football doesnt matter right? No matter who the Pats pick it will have very little effect on your life right? Oh but this is a message board where everything Patriots is up for discussion, I just want to know who doesnt want who so if they try and flip the script if we do draft them they will be called out on it. To be fair, Im not a fan of Arrelious Benn, Toby Gerhart, Ricky Sapp, they are all douchbags and I hate them. They arnt smart enough to play for us :snob:.

OK...sorry if I doubt the OP's claim that Dez Bryant is an academic All American. I must be just talking out of my azz and you certainly showed me...why, if I really KNEW what I was talking about, then I'd say "you know, the AVERAGE score on the Wonderlic is twenty and corresponds to the Stanford/Binet scale score of 100, which is commonly accepted as AVERAGE intelligence". I'm sure you can agree with THIS accepted F-A-C-T.....so, if THAT is average and Dez Bryant is indeed an academic All American as bragged about in the O.P.'s post, then one should reasonably expect a Wonderlic score EXCEEDING 20 points, would one not?????

Dez Bryant's Wonderlic score....SIXTEEN

something obviously STINKS here and no amount of deflecting because of "cultural differences" is going to change that PLAIN,OBVIOUS FACT.Of course there is also PLENTY of history as far as Okla.St and phony grades and test scores.

Top 10 NCAA Sports scandals

The cash handshake. The phony grades. Cover-ups and the athletic folks looking the other way. This is the dirty stuff about college sports that won't be found in one of those public service announcements created by the good folks at NCAA headquarters. Don't expect to see anything about the legend of Hart Lee Dykes, the hotshot wide receiver of the mid-1980s who ratted out four cheating programs -- Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Illinois.

I don't want Dez Bryant to conform to ANYTHING. I just want these ridiculous posts that use ridiculously farcical "facts" to be exposed for the useless tripe they are.

i would literally s*** a brick if we take bruce campbell...

I don't want a corner or a safety.

I'd like to see a pass rushing lineman, or Line backer
I'd like to see a playmaker on the offense who can play multiple positions (Cough..McCluster)
I'd like to see another LB or DE.

Sapp or Price
McCluster
Spikes

that would make me smile.

But knowing the Pats, its going

Corner
Safety
Guard

What up fellow ex-terrier!?!

Please no CBs in the second and third round.

Clausen <- I hope BB doesn't think this is a value pick
Cody <- maybe in the late 3rd, but not before
any CB

nothing personal TripleC...I just know bull when I see it...Schloppeth pulled the same crap 2 years ago..."here's how the Patriots did it!!!!!!"..probably the most preposterous ongoing "fact based investigation" ever schlepped out there by ESPN.

The league average Wonderlic score for WR's is 16, so Bryant falls right on the normal line,. but he's not going to be formulating mathmatical models out there, just running routes.

From Dez Bryant’s facebook page: This is why I'm suspended.....I went to Deion sanders house ....and the NCAA found out.....they ask me if I been to his house I told them no...I thought it was a violation...but it wasn't... so I told them I went to his house... I lied to them and I shouldn't have....and I'm not suspended for the rest of the season....I'm sorry osu!!

he is a moron.

wonderlic or no wonderlic
