Hey, what's not to like about someone described as a "niggly, in-your-face Back Man"?

It's an Australian description, deal with it.

America has plenty of stupid ones too.

...or Billie Jean King...

Niggly = annoying
In your face = self explanatory
backman = defender (often referred to as a backman because they play behind the play).

That David King was an excellent player.

now call me a homer for the zillionth time.
Homer. (Coming from me, it's a term of endearment

Hell, after the fins signed marshall - even some of the homers have started to turn.
"We are not collecting talented players. We are building a team."

The problem is that people are confusing fantasy football and Madden with real-life football.

Which David King? There seems to be 3 of them...and did we get the one who might be the better Punter prospect?

The 38 year old David King was the best of the lot by far. The Collingwood David King not so much. Which David King this is, if he isn't either I have no idea then.

Either way, the Patriots would be wise to investigate a guy by the name of Shannon Hurn (he's still quite young) from the West Coast Eagles when he finishes his playing career. He can regularly kick 65 metres (71 yards) and put it on a spot with accuracy.

The 28-year old David King who lasted played with Norwood in 2008 and was seen in that Gary Zauner vide.

Or for sheer power, Francois Steyn, a well-known South African rugby player.

Wikipedia comes up with a 38 year old who was twice All-AFL and retired a few years ago and has worked as a coach since, and a 25 year old who is still on an AFL team. It's probably the former.

He doesn't look 38.

This is an interesting development. Will the Pats still bring in Mesko to compete or have they uncovered a solid new special teams player?

I don't know about Mesko specifically, but history suggests the Patriots will draft someone to compete with King.

Thanks for the research, guys. You would think that Bill would've tried this route before now, actually. But better late than never, I suppose.

If you read on in this thread you will find out he is neither. He is 28.
