The pats were as the most physical i have seen them since 2004.

The levoir block, AD's slamming of thomas jones, welker and maroney trucking rhodes, chang and merriweathers hit on keller. They had a point to make. Sadly the 2nd half playcalling put some damper on what was looking like a complete embarrassment.

true stuff. i loved they kick it block that D back got cracked

Re: Physicallity yesterday

I could feel Levoir's hit all the way through my TV sceen. Not sure who that was on the jets team...did that player ever return. The camera went to him on the bench right after the play and he looked to be having one of those "I am Batman!" moments. I enjoyed the Pats physicality yesterday. They really need to bring that against the saints.

The defense allowed one touchdown. It was the offense that was disappointing in the second half. But yes, I agree. They were very physical yesterday.

EDIT: Don't forget the McGowan hit on special teams.

Chang? Who's that?

I agree that we were very physical yesterday. I also thought we were very physical in the Ravens game, which was one of our best games of the year. When we play physically and are aggressive, we are a much better team, no doubt about it.

Does anyone know if Chung came back into the game after being shaken up from the hit he laid on Keller?

Re: Physicallity yesterday

Patriots did play very physical...Keller took some shots and Maroney absolutely ran over Rhodes

Maybe too much shotgun O in the second half? Seems like they got a little predictable in the play-calling. Too much of a patchwork line, perhaps?

I dont think we were in the shotgun as much in the 2nd half as people think. We ran the ball a lot more in the 2nd half and Brady was under center for all of those.

We didnt take any chances down the field so the Jets safties could creep up and stop the run. The WR's didnt run many routes of more than 10 yards in the 2nd half. I would have liked to see them take a few more chances down the field. Even if they arent completed it still makes the safties honest and not creep up on every play.
