This OL that they Pats took is really risky considering he's coming off of back surgery. A tackle nobody has heard of, may very well turn out to be the next Logan Mankins.
*shrug*

I wouldn't say no one has ever heard of him. Gosselin had him at #76 overall.

As to venom, my word choice was quite precise in response to what you wrote; that we had a vigorous and informative (if sometimes too repetitive) draft forum should not merit the rancor I read in your words.

Listen up. You were not quoted -- so you have no beef. There was no intent of malice behind my words regardless of your interpretation. I've been part of the draft forum for a long time -- and yes, your venom surprises me. It would be wise to end it here.

yeah... interesting.. but a second round pick? Surprising to me

1 of the draft sites I just read had in as a middle Sunday pick. :ugh:

But BB and DS know their OL, so we'll see how it plays out. Just so long as Vollmer doesn't show up to training camp pushing a walker.

a trade for peppers is comming...sunday it will happen....i can feel....peppers is comming

I kinda doubt it. What are the Pats going to trade? The 2010 #1? Maybe now that the first day of the draft is over the Panthers may lower their expectations, but I kinda doubt it. Jason Taylor looks more likely.

Let's hope BB is right and the draft sites are wrong.

I find it amazing that some posters are taking the Pats not selecting players they are personally high on as a personal offence against them as a supporter.

How about sucking it up and waiting to see how these picks perform during training camp, the season and assessing the performances in a few years time.

Go BB and the Pats War Room.

does anyone else really like the dolphins and broncos drafts. i do. and once again can someone please tell me what we got for the trades at 23 and 26 and 40

Cut it out dude, you're ruining the draft.

As we speak,Matt Slater has just passed the torch to Vollmar for the Annual distinct honor of "who the fu(k are you?" award

Back surgery makes me nervous:cool: But obviously BB and Co. know better than we do about his situation. It sounds like as long as the injury's over he could be really good. It's risky but BB must have checked him out,at least he sure knows more about SV's status than we do.

Bye Bye Cody Brown:( Michael Johnson (Crosses Fingers):)

FWIW, Cody Brown was just taken by Arizona...

HUH? His back surgery was 3 years ago. And people have heard of him. I mentioned him in my Pats off-season Pre-draft Review..

Reminds me of a player in the early 90s from the U of Pittsburgh that everyone laughed at when Parcells was with the Pats and he drafted a guy coming off a season with so called bad legs and injury prone which was the reason that all the other teams passed over him .... His name was future HOFer Curtis Martin

Four picks in the third now.
Should be interesting.
