He's one of their starting cornerbacks, for krissakes! Maybe he took the game off to ponder life as a Green Bean. I can't wait for "official" word on why he didn't show up.
He ALMOST out-Joker-ed you....almost. But that was quite a funny series of truth/comments/observations by PatsFaninVA.I love you man....
@nyjets: GM John Idzik: "[Patterson] will be suspended indefinitely, and that will allow us to gather more information to what led to his behavior."
He will be back week one. They need him to start. Their CB position is a joke. The Pats have at least four CBs who would start on the Jets.

The Pats have a WR who could start at CB for the JEST right now.

And the curse gets personal on weeks 7 and 16. Maybe we can help knock them out of"reasonable" playoff consideration...after the game on week 7 (not statistical, though maybe there is a science that could prove it)."The Curse of Darrelle Revis Lives!"
If that turns out the be the case, the Jets will be a bigger joke than usual. Apparently, Patterson returned the team late Sunday night, but he still skipped out on a preseason game without any explanation. On a different team, I wouldn't be surprised if he was released or suspended for a number of games without pay. We'll see what they Jets do.
I looked up Patterson's career stats and he's started 20 of the 78 games he's been healthy enough to play in (injuries have been a big part of his career). 9 of those starts came back in 2010 with the Eagles. This year, the Jets need him to start or at least play a lot and he disappears right before the 3rd preseason game. Just a very odd situation.
