Re: Mark Anderson Signs with the Bills for 4 Years, $27.5 million; $8 million guarant

95%? Really?

So 95% of the folks on this board supported the "we'll move to Hartford" threats? Remember who the owner was then?

Come on man, call a spade a spade.

Look, the Pats are the class of the AFCE and have been for years, there's no disputing that. Five SBs in 11 years is amazing, and NE fans should be proud of the team's many accomplishments since 2001.

However, let's not pretend that before Bill Parcells arrived an opposing fan could not walk up to the box office on game day and buy a choice seat and be surrounded by fans of his own team.

The point?

If a team with the Pats' history can have a run of success like we have seen this decade, then any team in the NFL can do the same with the right mix of ownership, coaching, and hitting on a late round draft pick.

You're plain nuts. I've been a Pats fan since day one and a season ticket from the 70's into the 90s. You actually think a Barfalo jagoff could walk up to a "window" buy a ticket and sit with a whole bunch of other Barfalo jagoffs in Sullivan Stadium? There's what YOU think it was like and there was what it was really like, and what you're blabbing about NEVER happened. Schaefer Stadium was a craphole that barely attracted 20,000 Pats fans a game during a season...you'd have to be NUTS to travel from any distance to sit in that stadium. If you happened to make that mistake, you paid...dearly...very unfriendly place for opposing fans as the police blotter from those years demonstrate.

The Patriots are one of the ORIGINAL AFL franchises...Barfalo didn't even have a damned pee wee team in those days. You run your mouth like everything pre-Parcells was all Barfalo...moron.It's always big mouth know nothings like you that show up like spring "daffydils" and disappear like rotten squash by September. What Barfalo did in a week three game is inconsequential, as the Patriots went on to play in the Super Bowl...you do get this, don't you?? oh wait...nah, you don't...you're too ignorant.

Can one of u pats fans tell this clown that:

A. Buffalo is an original AFL team
B. The Erector Set was Buffalo East thru out the 90's.
C. Ralph Wilson floated a major loan to the Pats in the early 70s to prevent them from folding.

Google is your friend, Joker. Apt name, btw. :)

The schedule is your friend. Post the above .500 teams the Pats beat in 2011.

...What's your point? Buffalo couldn't even beat most of the under .500 teams they played last year. 14 of our 16 games on the schedule were identical.

It's okay, you can admit that your team sucked last year. It's not that hard, you don't have to pull a muscle doing it. If they hadn't sucked, we would have seen you trolling here last year, proclaiming your serial awesomeness, but instead you were off sulking munching on buffalo wings while the Bills collapsed and the Patriots went to the Super Bowl.

Re: Mark Anderson Signs with the Bills for 4 Years, $27.5 million; $8 million guarant

Just stop responding to these bills fans..they are going to be gone once the bills suck AGAIN next season..some are still holding on to the "T.O in BLO" that was going to take them to the playoffs.

They are a joke, the fans and the team...

Re: Mark Anderson Signs with the Bills for 4 Years, $27.5 million; $8 million guarant

Happy for Mark Anderson...he played really well for us and deserved to get paid. I really wanted him back, but I can't fault the guy for collecting a huge paycheck.

Re: Mark Anderson Signs with the Bills for 4 Years, $27.5 million; $8 million guarant

Please guys don't get wound up by a bills fan... i mean come on, the bills? They suck ass

Post Buffalo's record in 2011.

Oh wait.

The Patriots went to the SB. They beat the AFCW Champ twice. They beat the AFCN Champ in the AFCCG, after they beat the AFCS Champ.
Your comment is stupid.

Re: Mark Anderson Signs with the Bills for 4 Years, $27.5 million; $8 million guarant

DEAL WAS ONLY WORTH 19.5 MILLION DOLLARS

Free-agent defensive end Mark Anderson played his way into a giant increase in pay and a big contract when he signed with the Buffalo Bills. It's worth $19.5 million over four years, according to a league document obtained by The News.

That's less than what was attributed to sources in numerous media sites, including The News, last week. Anderson will get $8 million this year and $10.5 million over the first two years of his deal, as was widely reported. Initial reports had the deal totalling $27.5 million.

Anderson, who had 10 sacks for the New England Patriots last season, played on a on-year deal worth $1.37 million in 2011. The four-year average of Anderson's new deal is $4.875 million. He got a $6 million signing bonus plus a guaranteed base salary this year of $1.9 million, and a $100,000 workout bonus. His base salaries in subsequent years are $2.5 million, $4 million and $5 million.

The addition of Anderson is key for the Bills' defense. He gives the team a healthy speed rushing option opposite newly acquired free-agent prize Mario Williams. If veteran Shawne Merriman can recover from an Achilles tendon injury or the Bills add another young rush man in the draft, that will just add to their pass-rush arsenal.

2012: 8 million
2013: 2.5 million
2014: 4 million
2015: 5 million

What a deal

What a deal

It is for Anderson, that is overpaying him by quite a margin.

He might have got 10 sacks but a number of them came as a result of Anderson being blocked out of a play and a QB simply sliding into him as a result of Wilfork collapsing the pocket.

And now he gets to play with 2 pro bowlers in Mario and Kyle Williams, and a future star in Marcell Dareus. those 3 together will give him greater opportunities than Wilfork did last year.

buffalobills365 the Patriost Offense when at full strenghth cannot be stopped Teams can oly hope to contain it. If the Patriots ever develop a homerun threat at RB NFL watch out. Our Offense is going to be much better than last years.

But that doesn't matter, the Bills have the bestest defensive line in the history of the NFL and will get a sack on every play

The Bills fans are acting like the Jets fans a couple of years ago and they're still SOJ....the Bills will also still be irreverent come the end of the season....SOB?

It's interesting that you trust salvation on two DE's that were on the 2010 Texans defense...........

The defense that is recognized as one of the worst in NFL history.

And is mostly recognized as that because of a terrible scheme...

Or Brady could just throw 4 picks again against a team with no pass rush.

I don't care what anyone says the Bills are going to be a bear this season. I think we split. But they still take second place in the East.

Bills fans are excited and for the first time in a while they have a reason to be. They have bandwagon fans as much as anyone else but when you actually sit and catch a game with them they're a football educated town.

Most i've talked to are enjoying their Super Bowl free agency, and think they could nab a wildcard, but i havent heard a fan yet (besides the usual knuckleheads) say they were taking our spot as the kings of the East.

Don't think we'll take your spot just yet but I think it'll be a lot closer than you guys hope. Maybe 12-4 for the Patriots and 11-5 for Buffalo

So are you saying you'd like to get some drinks, or go straight to the warm shower?
