It's easy, and only takes a few moments. While it is a bit surprising that that cut him this early, seems to me that the coaching staff simply felt that the young DT/DE 3-4 type players on the roster were either simply better or had more upside...Cherrington, Love, Grissom, Forston and Armstead.
I'm with Reiss on this -- Deaderick must have done something wrong we don't know about, whether it's looking terrible in workouts or something more specific.
Wasn't he suspended once for some unspecified rules violation?
So let me get this straight. The end result of 7 pages (so far) of Brandon Deadrick talks is that either BB hates him so much that he couldn't wait 'til TC to cut him, OR he likes him and wants to do him a favor. He has either been a productive role player who played more than a third of the defensive snaps adequately, OR a bottom of the roster marginal player forced to play more than he should have because of injuries. He was either a 7th round hit, or a 7th round missI viewed Deaderick as a very solid 3-4 DE. As Fencer said, there is some part of the story that we don't know. Otherwise, he'd have been in camp through most of the preseason as insurance against injury
The alternative is that Belichick is giving Deaderick a better chance to make another team. Belichick has done this several times in the past.
WOW, that cleared things up. I guess this is just another example of how little we actually know about what goes on inside those walls at Gillette. It would seem our job is speculate about the "why's", and pretend that what we are essentially guessing at is the absolute truth if anyone happens to disagree with our stated opinion.
Is that the end of the New England Brandons? We lost Brandon Meriweather Brandon McGowan and now Brandon Deaderick. We still have Brandon Spikes, Brandon Boldin and rookie Brandon Ford. Brandon Jones looks doubtful to make the roster. Will this be enough Brandons to sustain us?
Now only if we can find a player from Rutgers with Brandon as his first name
He would be a lock to sign here
Brandon Jones.

DL Brandon Deaderick, waived by the Patriots on Monday, has been claimed by the Jaguars, via @JohnOehser of Jacksonville Jaguars, Official Site of the Jacksonville Jaguars .
Hope he has a good year with the jags.
Interesting to see how fast Brace was picked up by Wash and now him by Jacks..
Guys however much we're rooting for a JAG, you're always trying to improve over the marginal roster guys, and let's not kid ourselves... Deaderick was definitely that. I get it... you follow a late pick, root for him as he shows flashes of adequacy, root for him as he shows consistent adequacy with flashes of "pretty good..." you start to care. But it looks like BB et al. see a quicker path to greatness, what can you say....
I too hope he catches on elsewhere. He worked to make it as far as he did & ya gotta respect that.
Around the league, players that come out of this system are viewed as if nothing else...
1) Well-coached
2) For the most part, professional and mature
3) Accustomed to winning
With that said, unless you are Greg Spires, Koppen or Jeremy Mincey, once you leave here after being cut, you won't really do much somewhere else.
