The more we know about the NY Giants, the more offensive they become. I realize my take is too "lowbrow" for much of the esoteric audience on this board, but I find their smarmy minority owner, arrogant playas, and secret symbolism truly offensive. Predicting victory, talking about how they are happy to play the Pats over other teams because they "match up so well", how they should have beat the Pats last time, dressing for a funeral. These guys think they are the '85 Bears. I'll be rooting for the Pats to run up the score, and if the Giants should suffer some non-crippling injuries, it couldn't happen to nicer group of guys.

It's just an immature thing. Even when it was supposed to be "team unity!" I thought it was dumb, dressing up the same is something college kids would do.

Dude, on FSR first team on Fox they joked about it too. They said Giants dressed up for their own funeral. Czab being skins fan hates the Giants and wants them to lose so thats how he interpreted the black suits. Seriously this is all depends on what team you want to win.

Planned gimmicks like this really are pretty bad.

So is Plaxico Burress's guaranteed victory. That's not exactly anything that will work in the Giants favor. Loughlin apparently wasn't pleased with Plaxico's prediction at media day today.

This is just stupid if this was true. Ive never seen any team ever just run into the super bowl and just pretty much trash another team with victory talk and stupid mind games.

Pretty low class if this is true.

Way to keep yourselves there in new york giants.

Well, if it's true, black was the appropriate color, because they just gave themselves the kiss of death.

There really is nothing likable about these Giants. Plexiglass Furnace is humorless and creepy. Strahan is a self-aggrandizing motormouth. Quarterhick Junior has no personality ... This team needs to be put out of its misery.

If the Pats did this you guys would all be pumped and saying how awesome it is.

Teams do all sorts of fruity things for displays of team unity, who cares?

I'm surprised the whole team agreed to do that. It sounds like more than immaturity. It's actually disrespectful.
The Pats have many "ghost" disrespects -- but this is real and blatantly in their face.

it's as though they are mocking the Patriot.

If the Patriots did this - personally I would be disappointed.

I thought the saddest part about this forced "unity" gimmick was that at least 20% of the players coming off the plane weren't even wearing black.

If they can't even get everyone on the team on the same page for something dumb like this, how could they possibly play effectively enough as a unit to stop the Pats?

I forget who you follow -- Colts or Chargers? Go sit in a corner until the Super Bowl is over.

Sort of has a "gangsta" vibe to it, don't you think?

This is pretty up there on the fruity scale though, you have to admit. It makes them look a little silly, but hey, if Pierce feels color coordinating a group of 20 and 30 something professional men is the way to go then good for him, nice use of team leadership skills.

Are you kidding me? Trying to play head games, against a team like the Pats? Seriously, is there a worse thing you can do than poke this team with a sharp stick like the Giants are doing?

Pierce is a prick. At the start of the season when the Giants D was sucking, anytime a reporter asked abut it he blew a freaking air horn. How stupid is that? Is anyone surprised he would do something stupid like this? As much as people get sick of the undefeated talk I'm done with the "world's against us" bull**** from the giants.

That's what I'm thinking. Are they stupid? The Patriots have been very respectful towards the Giants.

I really never felt one way or the other about the Giants but now I actively dislike them.

The Giants are really coming off as scared now.

All the talking and b.s. actions are just too much.

It's like they are trying to show that they aren't afraid but they have totally overdone it to the point where it seems like there is obviously something wrong and i think they are scared.

We get it. You can stop now.

No, no, Keegs, we don't want them to stop. We want them to spend all their time between now and the game telling us how unafraid they are and how they're totally going to win. That way they won't spend time doing anything like, oh, planning and practicing. :D

If the Patriots had six losses and were going up against the undefeated Giants, I wouldn't be saying how awesome it was; ****y and stupid would be more like it.

When the Giants first beat the Packers, I was happy for them to be going to the Super Bowl. The closer we get to game time, the more they are annoying me, annoying like a pimple the size of a basketball that pops up the day before the prom.

Annoying, ****y and stupid is no way to act leading up to game time; keep it up though, I'm sure the Patriot players and coaches have noticed all of this buffoonery........

    Pul-lease.

Coming out as a team rather than individual intros: Great.

Everyone dressing up in black to symbolize going to an opponents funeral? Lame.

What next? The Giants come out onto the field carrying shovels so they can symbolically bury the Pats?

    You're such a goober-boy, just like Eli.

Exactly Double G. If the shoe was on the other foot, I would maybe even be embarrassed. Maybe if they have done something I would respect them. That reminds more of many years ago when the University of Miami football team showed up in Military fatigues before a game with Penn State, then proceeded to lose the game. A team that his highly strung like the Pats, who look for a reason to be disrespect, the Giants are basically giving them the kerosene and lighter to start a fire on Sunday.

jeez if the Pats pulled this stunt everyone would be talking about a lack of class and all this crap.

These morons will probably be called "heroes" and everyone will laugh and Mike and Mike will think it's a good idea and Skip Bayless will say something lame about "team unity".

This little act of the New York Giants pretty much sums up why i hate just about everybody.

I'm administrator of a Patriots mailing list that has been running for 15 years. I started following the Patriots when I was 10 in 1985.

Just because I don't agree with every stupid opinion on this board doesn't mean I'm not a fan and you're pretty ignorant for suggesting such.

Just look at how people responded to the talk about how the Patriots all dance to 'Another one bites the dust'. Unanimously it was positively viewed on this board. Which is fine but don't get all uptight when another team does something similar.

Every team plans a parade before the Super Bowl. BB just masterfully made it sound worse than it was. I'd say this whole "Death to the Patriots dynasty" is more insulting and probably makes for a better pre-game speech.
