Mike Sando shares what some NFL Execs think about the new NE Pats

Sounds like a few people have been waiting a while to take a shot at Kraft/Patriots.

Reality is we are in the early stages of a multi year rebuild. Let’s see how it plays out.
Early stages? We’ve been rebuilding since 2020. We’re entering our fifth year of a rebuild with no end in sight. How patient do we have to be?

Will it be fair to start taking shots at Kraft in year 7 or 8 of the rebuild?

So when did you want Kraft to fire BB? 2021? 2022? That wasn’t realistic. The rebuild BB started in 2020 didn’t work. We all know why, now the offensive roster is bare and we start over with a new regime. Kraft doesn’t pick the players, if the new regime doesn’t work then he will deserve blame for hiring them, but he doesn’t deserve blame for giving BB a longer rope than other coaches.

That's the problem, we HAVEN'T been rebuilding since 2020. We've been trying to compete for the playoffs. They had an older team. They drafted a QB who lacked high upside/physical tools but whose main selling point was that he was ready to stand in and be serviceable. We went on a FA splurge of quick fixes and traded draft picks for vets like Davante Parker. Those aren't rebuilding team moves.

People are so dramatic about how bad it's been the last 4 years here. In 2020 it was a 7-9 season. That's not good, but it's not bad. It's mediocre. In 2021 it was 10-7 with a playoff appearance (in a league where 14 of 32 teams make it). Again, middle of the road team. 2022 was disaster year in a lot of ways, but it was an 8-9 year. Again, middle of the road as opposed to actually bad. Last year was the only season that we were actually bad, and it wasn't because they were rebuilding. They were pushing for the same mediocrity/wild card appearance that they were doing the 3 years prior, they just didn't do as good a job of it as in the past few years.

This is the first year they're actually making moves that point to a rebuilding. So yeah, they are just starting it now and it's still early stages.

Oh, yeah, Mike Sando, otherwise known as one of the guys Ron Borges copied his homework from.
Seattlestatman showed up on the old ESPN Patriots forum on a Sunday night with the proof Borges copied Sando’s work.

A bunch of us started emailing various media outlets & within 2 hours Kerry Burns
On Cold hard football facts had the plagiarism published & he acknowledged Seattlestatman & the ESPN forum

I was working overnight & on the ride home, Dennis & Callahan had the story &
Borge’s was fired later that day.

It was quite enjoyable watching Borges career destroyed in real time

No bigger A-Hole than Ron Borges

…Patience. Just keep going in the right direction with younger players. Once you get the key pieces in place - the Qb and the system around him - then go Caserio.

Little Nicky would be out of a ****ing job today if the Panthers had drafted Stroud.
