Thank goodness I do not root for the SOJ's....man they suck! Giving poor jet fans hope like that only to blow it in the most painful ways possible. I'd feel Sorry for any other fan base
I expected this to happen. I was not suprised, and I tried to tell my fellow Jet fans this in the first half, but sadly they did not listen.

The inevitable Rex firing along with listening to F & M for the last month or so makes me want Rex to come to NE. Revis would stay for sure and Rex is a blitz master.

Okay, back from dream world, but come on, having RR with BB would make for great comedic laughter and defensive domination ;)
He's going to Atlanta, and he can succeed there since he'd have a very good QB and an elite offense at his disposal.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch with the Jets. I think 10 straight seasons a team has gone from worst to first in a div. now I am not saying the Jets are gonna do that, but don't count your chickens.

But oh how comical their fan base has become!

I'll actually respond to this idiotic post, written by my fanboy, Tunescribe . Did you watch the game yesterday? The Jets were running a college offense, with misdirection after misdisrection and a sprinkle of jet sweep and ghost motion action- these are plays that the Florida Gators ran forty times a game in '08 and '09 for Tim Tebow . Hell, I saw Georgia Tech run a similar offense to Rex's on Saturday. Anyone, who understands the game realizes that this is a pass happy league, and you aren't going to win without attempting to move the ball down the field through the air, since the rules heavily favor offenses. Next, you do realize many other football fans agree with me? The Jets were RUNNING a College offense. If you disagree, prove me wrong. Idzik forced Rex to play Geno, and this was Rex's response. Idzik has proven, that he's a terrinle decision maker, it's time that he goes, and many other Jet fans share this sentiment. Rex Ryan knows he'll be fired, and this point why wouldn't he want to be canned early? He'll still collect his paycheck, and he can go job hunting in December. You have absolutely zero knowledge of the Jets situation; I suggest you stay out of these discussions, as they are too complex for narrow minded individuals such as yourself.

Benigno is so disgusted by the Jets he can barely get emotional about them any more.

Even he used the word 'disgusted' to describe his feelings about the Jets last week after the Bills loss:

It's kind of a shame, his rants used to be epic. The Jets have sunk so low, he can't be bothered to rant... First Fireman Ed, now Joe Benigno...

He's not ranting about the Jets anymore because he's sticking it to Izdick.....just like that high school paper editor down in Apopka, Fla did when the team manager of the Manatees told him to get a gallon of Clearasil or pop his zits somewhere else, besides the girls field hockey practice field. Plus, Sexy Wrecksie is rumored to have the inside "toe" for head coaching job of the Apopka High Peckernecks....

You've stuck your foot in your mouth far enough to kick your own ass. You haven't a clue. In fact, you don't even know what a clue is. Or, that it would be good for you to have one! You are LOOPY!

* College teams run college plays from college schemes. The Jets ran plays last night FROM THEIR PLAYBOOK using honest-to-goodness NFL blocking schemes/protection adjustments/audibles/receiver routes/running back alignments and play design.
* Wrecks didn't try to "stick it to Idzik" you dope, he tried to WIN THE GAME.
* HOW did Wrecks try to win the game? By PLAYING TO THE TEAM'S STRENGTH, which is RUNNING THE BALL, playing aggressive defense, and avoiding the team's weakness, which is PASSING THE BALL.
* Newsflash, ace: regardless of whether the NFL is a pass-oriented league, if you CANNOT PASS EFFECTIVELY, you RUN THE BALL INSTEAD. In doing so, the Jets ALMOST WON THE BALL GAME that you believe Wrecks was trying to lose because he is mad at Idzik.
* Wrecks has said MANY TIMES he believes he is a VERY GOOD COACH and that he WANTS TO COACH THE JETS and DESERVES TO COACH THE JETS. He is a HEAD COACH IN THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE. These are high-paying jobs that don't grow on trees. Even if he thinks he'll be fired, you believe he WANTS TO BE FIRED?! This is INSANE!
* Who told you that getting fired with four games left in the schedule would be to Wrecks' advantage in finding a new job? Teams don't address changes in administrative/coaching staff involving outside hires until AFTER the season. If Wrecks wanted to go job hunting in December, his best bet would be applying for Santa duty at Macy's.
* I have already forgotten more about your own team than you ever have a prayer of knowing. So can the crap, Hieronymous. You are a transparently ignorant pretender. Now run along.

an extremely eloquent, informed response Tunes. Of course it's lost on this cretin with the intellectual capacity of a green tree frog.

I'm going to assume that you mean that infamous teller of tall tales ...Baron Von Munchausen? n'est ce pas?

Woo hoo, won the fantasy game it turns out

I once dated a Brit who had a zit on her tit, when I pointed it out she had a **** fit . I told her to quit and to quietly sit while I bit on her tit to pop this big zit. She screamed out "****" and it left a large slit. I sewed this pit because I knew how to knit, I was well equipped and carried a kit and she toughed it out with admireable grit....

The next verse ...well....cli.....bannable......:D

The Jets are great green gobs of greasy, grimy gopher guts

Durr-durr-durr! Have I truly fallen so far? :p

OK...green sea snake...feel better Waxy?

Jets Insider is now as dead as the Jets' playoff hopes.

He's going to Atlanta, and he can succeed there since he'd have a very good QB and an elite offense at his disposal.

Rumor has it that he's being courted by some television networks, who are prepared to offer him a fairly large paycheck for his analysis. If I were him, I'd jump on that ride.

As far as the NYJ sucking, it's hard to win in the NFL without capable QB play and bad team organization/management. How many times can a team make terrible decisions such as letting BOTH Revis and Cromartie go in back to back years? Or the decision to draft Geno Smith? Let me repeat that....they decided to draft Geno Smith as their "QB of the future!" You can't make this stuff up.

Even the choice to bring in Decker (and maybe Harvin) was stupid, considering the current circumstances of the offense and the financial compensation/draft picks they had to give up. I have no idea what the hell they were doing last night vs Miami despite your breakdown. If that's really the case then they should just burn the whole organization down from the top and start fresh, because about 90+ percent of the posters here could've devised a much better gameplan. I actually think they were lucky to score 13 points. They should've attacked the new CB instead, at least with some safe passes...anything.

Not that I subsribe to your never-never land vision; but if it came to pass, does that mean he WOULD actually KISS his RINGS?

NFL teams change schemes/plays on weekly basis, the NYJ ran plays yesterday, they have not ran all season. Your second sentence is completely false; the Seahawks in week one ran a play right out of Auburn's playbook, with the exact design. A few days later Gus Malzahn, stated that he enjoyed seeing his plays make it to the NFL level. Read options, triple options, hybrid spread offenses, and zone blocking to a certain extent all orginally came from the college level. So YES it is possible for NFL teams to run "college plays", the Seahawks, Niners, and Jets do it all the time. Hell, the Redskins and Kyle Shannhan basically built a clone of Baylor's offensive scheme (hybrid spreadl, to maxmize RG3's playmaking abillity. I've already given you two examples, can you give me two to back up your statement?

Rex's gameplan on Monday included read option, and triple option looks, plays that Ryan has never in his tenure with the Jets. Next, You DO NOT win by running 45+ times, while passing only thirteen times. I don't care who the QB is, you HAVE to attempt to move the ball down the field, with an occasional play action, to catch the opposing team off guard. Rex's gameplan on monday was the equivalent to an offense being run in the '80s, .Your post was a whole load of drivel that did not debunk anything I stated. At this point Rex Ryan does NOT care, and why should he? He KNOWS he's he going to be fired. Coaches, athlethes, owner- they all lie. What do you expect Rex to say? Do younexpsct him to say "I hate this franchise"? Of course , he's going to say he believes he should be the coach of the Jets, why shouldn't he?

But it's all BS, and only narrow minded individuals such as yourself believe the BS coaches spout. He was FORCED to play Geno, and this was his response. If Rex Ryan is fired, he can lock up a network job, and he can possibly land a head coaching Job or a DC Job in December(Andy Reid signed with the Cheifs a few days after the season ended), while collecting his salary. Numerous football fans, not just Jet fans, agree with me.

You have to be one of the most ignorant, pompous assholes I've ever came across on the internet. You will never understand or know the schematics of the game, like me.[/QUOTE]

Exactly, this is why I want Idzik gone. We had a NEED at WR, and this was one of the deepest WR classes of all time, and he passed on WR after WR. We ended up with a 5'8" WR in round four, who is not even on this team anymore. His solution for CB, was Dimitri Patterson(he was cut before the season! )...he needs to go if's and's or but's. The gameplan was poor, I realize Geno is a terrible QB who is limited to say the least, but I'm pretty sure Geno can execute a play action It became obvious. after the first half, that we were just going to run gimmick plays, Philbin and Co made adjustments, and Rex failed to respond to Philbin's adjustments. Rex was not playing to win, and I can't believe posters actually think otherwise.
