Manning To Retire Per Schefter

Would be pretty funny to see Osweiler sign with a team like the Rams, maybe he's still pissed about getting sat at season's end, forcing the Broncos to sign someone like Fitzpatrick and thus pushing the Jets to start Geno.

If so, that would be a great final parting gift from the Forehead.

i hope someone overpays for brock leaving the donkeys without a QB

Good, I'm sick of hearing about the greatness of manning from his groupies. Except that will have to listen to how mannings retired all next season. Then maybe manning may come out of retirement after that.

I literally just spit out my coffee. Gus Johnson said he will remember Peyton best for his good character. o_O

I guess now the HGH investigation goes away.

No need to mention the sexual assault anymore, because he is retiring and deserves our respect.

ESPN has told me 55 times already that he is a 5 time MVP.

They even called him a 2 time Super Bowl MVP. I was wondering why he went to Disney land parade this year. I guess Von Miller must have lost his MVP when Archie, Craig Mortenson, & Jim Nantz recounted
The ballots.
Now its on yahooo sports that manning won SB MVP, archie and the rest of the cult must be working the phones.

LOL, the 3-2 playoff record is literally the only stat I see being thrown around on Twitter.

That's pretty sad that one home playoff victory is what these mediots are trying to use to flip the argument of Peyton over Brady.

But let's ignore all those 'one and done chokes' that failed to produce further Brady/Manning match-ups, and the fact that Brady still holds an 11-6 edge.

I guess all of that never happened...

Then you're gonna hate Brady's MyFace post today congratulating Peyton for a great career and making everyone around him better.

The fact that team Brady posted this confirms it's true that Manning is retiring.

Where did this "Sheriff" nonsense come from? I follow sports fairly closely, and I have NEVER, before the past few months, heard Manning referred to as such. Did the media decide that the one thing he was missing was a nickname that makes no sense?

Big news. This leads the Rams without a QB (presumably was going to be Manning). They have an insane amount of cap space.

Osweiler to LA
Fitzpatrick returns to Jets

Panic in donkeyland. Their top choice would be RGTurd.
Heard rumors they really like that Dak Prescott guy.

He desperately wanted to latch on to another team solely to keep padding his career records... i would bet anything that he's legitimately worried Brady will catch up and surpass his yardage record and some others.. Brady would have to have a hell of another 4 years to catch the TD record..

That's 100% why he wanted to come back. For a great number of people, the "greatest QB" argument will always fall to numbers. If Brady's #1 everywhere...

Let's just say I didn't used to care about that stuff, but now I do.

Don't think he really needs "a hell of another 4 years" though. He needs to stay healthy and continue to play close to how he played this year. Considering the injuries this year and the fact that I think most think the next two years will definitely see the same level of play, I don't see an issue.

He's 111 TDs behind Manning, or 27.7 a year. The last 4 years he's thrown for 32 on average, which included "just" 25 in 2013. So even with a 13+% drop, he's got it in 4 years.

While on the subject, he's 4 years at an average of 3478 for the all-time passing yardage record. Cake.

Needless to say, if healthy, Brady will destroy the wins record.

Throw another Super Bowl or 2 in there, maybe add a perfect season for fun...the #1 QB will be a joke question even for those who hate Brady.

I think there's a real good chance he changes his mind this summer.

Buh-bye, Peyton. I guess I have to clear all the duck-throwing, giant forehead, dead horse memes out of my photo files. As a sayonara, here's one of my faves for old time sakes:Manning Duck.jpg
