We. Have. Revis.

I'm sorry that Ras I got cut, imagine what would be Revis Island and Ras Island.

MTV could produce a cartoon of that and call it "Revis and Butthurt".

I'll agree with some of them though that we shouldn't be totally happy just yet. IF Wilfork and Mayo come back completely healthy, we are only a little better than the 2013 healthy defense. Not a bad thing, but I don't really think it's enough to stop Denver on a neutral field.

Still have work to do.

That offense right now lost a very good WR2, Welker is a year older and we saw that D Thomas can be shutdown by a CB of Talib caliber.

So sales of Viagra in Boston is gonna take a hit this week. But that is compensated by the increased sales in NY, NJ and FL.

If Kelly, Wilfork, and Mayo stay healthy (which they all have made a habit of doing for the majority of their career), then "allowing" Denver to run on us will be difficult even if we tried to let them.

I'm concerned regarding whether Wilfork at his size and age can adequately come back from an Achilles injury.

I would love to see Kelly paired up with Siliga inside. I also would love to see what Armand Armstead brings to that table. I hope Wilfork restructures because I do not want to see the guy cut, but at that cap number and that injury, I just don't think he is good value to this team in a salary cap league.

What do you think that Wilfork's contract should look like? What are his services worth?

As you said, we will have Kelly and Siliga inside. We will also have Jones, Armstead, Vellano, Forston and hopefully a top draft choice.

To state the obvious, Wilfork hasn't been easy to negotiate with in the past.

And most importantly, how long do you think that Belichick will wait?

The top DT on the market this year, Linvall Joseph, signed for an AAV of 6m/year iirc.

Wilfork is set to count against the cap for 11m.

He's not an 11m dollar man coming off of a poor season and injury. Extend him for 2 or 3 years around 5 or 6m per year and push this years cap out into the later years.

He's not signing a deal for 11m and he's not signing a deal for 8m (which his average of the current deal was). He'd be dumb not to accept an extension and he'd be missing out on a chance to greatly help a team he claims to love and wants to retire with.

I just stopped by the Denver Bronco Idiots forum. They're not any smarter than I remember them. A lot of them are trying to convince themselves that Talib is better than Revis, even though Revis is one of the GOATs at cornerback and last year they didn't think Talib was any better than DRC lol.

I think they just cut him. No sense extending a guy who may never be the same and who will be 33. Offer him vet min with incentives. If he doesn't like it then cut. They'll wait until they need the money then cut him.

So you think they should guarantee his 8m salary even though he may never be recovered fully from a torn achilles? And will be 33 next year? That seems crazy to me.

Ha Talib is an awesome cornerback when healthy, but only guy who can really compare to Revis is Sherman.

They're the dumbest fans in the league. They make Jets fans look respectable.

What Strngplyr wrote in post #402. I can't put it any better myself.

Man, I'm still soaking this all in. I haven't felt like this during FA since Randy Moss. I always wanted Revis in a Patriots uniform... bad!

Never been so happy about Revis being in the AFC East
I know the Jets missed him. Now they're reunited... twice a year :)

Patriots actually signed a big name free agent?!?!?!?!?!?!

We must be in the Twilight Zone or something

I didn't think this would happen. Very surprised, but an awesome move.

yes !!!

the day starts so well today !!!

awesome !

DARRELLE : BENVENUTO AI NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS !!!

great to have you with us !

I have always respected Darrelle Revis, even when he was with the Jets. He was such an awesome player (too good to be a Jet IMO). He shut everyone down. If he plays like THAT again... this deal is a bargain.
