Oh good, we get to talk about this again.

No, nobody has to talk about this again.
Just wanted to pass the article along to Pats fans for their viewing pleasure.
When the former OC puts that play on the QB but won't come right out and say so I think folks should read it.

People who play sports and people who watch sports know things differently. There isn't a player on the Patriots who knows of a play or two that game where a better performance would have helped them win the game. This is all Bill is saying ... fine line between a tremendous play and a play that should have been made and that catch is on the fine line for sure for both brady and Welker.

Good Lord am I glad that he's gone, it's tough to respect people that either 1) don't know the meaning of words, and/or 2) intentionally use them incorrectly. The ball hit Welker's hands but he didnt hang onto it, it's either a completion or a drop, there's no other way about it.

The ball was not the easiest catch, but it was no more difficult that the mannigham catch(ie an example of play making) . If Wes wants to be paid like a top receiver or he claims he is a top receiver, he has to make that catch. This is the nfl the qb is not always going to be able to put the ball between the numbers ,if you can put two hands on it like he did you have to catch it no excuses.Regardless of what O'Brien says i have two eyes , and i saw him drop the ball .I reran the play on my Dvr , and it was a drop.

Very true Bill and everyone knows it. Just too bad the QB took zero ownership for that throw.

Yeah, Brady's a lousy teammate, isn't he?

Aren't you the same guy that started like 30 Tebow threads this year?

And bash Brady every chance you get?

Remember what your QB did in the playoffs against the Pats?

Don't remember you commenting on that.

Didn't start any threads on that subject, did you?

Thankfully what you want to happen never will.

Tebow sucks.

what do you think he would say? what he said means nothing. its not like hes going to say welker choked or he should have caught the ball. what a dumb thread.

And they'll tell you black is really white
The moon is just the sun at night
And when you walk in golden halls
You get to keep the gold that falls

LOL yeah 500 plus catches in the last what 5 years yeah hes not a good receiver because of a bad pass :singing:

Painful either way.

Pass was fine
WR had ball hit him in the hands
Pass should have been caught
WR didn't catch pass
WR wasn't hit by opponent, or anything else but the ground
WR, therefore, dropped ball

Time to move forward

Anyone else here think there might've been some ongoing "friction" between O'Brien and Brady? ;)

the offense`s prolific numbers wernt because of O`Brien.....

TFB:cool:

Hilarious. Pretty much puts this one to bed and refutes all the nonsense the Brady-Is-Infallible crowd spewed on this site after that game. Countdown to new round of O'Brien bashing and grasping at straws, 3..2..1...

The ball was in his hands and nobody hit him. It's pretty much the definition of a drop. It was a month ago, though, time to move on already.

The picture above pretty much clowns your argument.
