You are giving Pass way, Way, WAY too much credit here.
1) Pass hasn't been in the league close to 10 years, even if Bill did say what you claim he said.
2) An every-down player? That's a joke. For a couple of games in 2005, he was the starting Running Back, and an effective one, too, until he quit on the ball - and therefore on the team - against Buffalo.
3) What's wrong with bringing him to camp? Everything. At the very least, he's a bad example to the younger guys. And a "productive career"? Are you serious? There are FBs available - Cecil Sapp, Andrew Pinnock, Brannan Southerland, for ex. - who have/could have more productive careers than this bum. He isn't worth the tree that was killed so that the paper on which his contract was printed could be made.
So many FBs with actual talent who were available, for prob. their vet minimum, and Bill signs this has-been. Un-effin-believable.
