This guy reminds me of Mercury Morris. First he predicts his son won't win the SB.

Then he steals the limelight when his son wins the NFCCG.

never thought I'd see 'interesting' and 'Manning' in such close proximity

I've felt more harshly than that about him for quite a while, for pretty much the same reasons.

It's not as if Brady dad or to a small extent BB's dad haven't been visible with the Boston media. But they always served to take media pressure off of their sons, not to make things more complicated.

The guy has a point, but I think the situation is somewhat unique. How many current players have a father who played in the NFL? Played in the NFL for many years and is are a known entity? How many of those fathers has a kid on one of the Final Four playoff teams? Griese is abouth as close as they come.

Now, how many have TWO sons, both QB's, both whom have made it to the SB? It's a unique situation, and one that seems to be getting more attention than it deserves. Now, I think if PEYTON were there, that would be a whole other ball game. Even if PM wasn't a jinx, I still don't think he'd be whooping it up in the Giants Lockerroom, not appropriate. But for a former NFL'er, I don't see the issue. Who knows how many Dads were in the LR? But why would the media be drawn to "just a Dad"?

I've never understood why they make such a big deal over Archie Manning. He was an average QB at best, and never won squat.

Maybe there were other Dads in locker room, congratulating their son. They were with their son, not holding court in the hallway.

And how many other Giants players dads have publicly predicted a New England win?

Peyton has said the Patriots are beatable. Archie has said they aren't. I am not a big Peyton fan, but big bro is smarter than dad.

In the end, it doesn't matter what anyone outside of the "circle of trust" does, you and the rest of the NE Brotherhood will knitpick it apart. This is why so many root against you

I could give a rats ass who gives a rats ass. I suggest NOT watching any more NFL this season, otherwise, you might have to do something about that burned esophagus
