Have you noticed that lately that he's actually going down more often? Either the coverage has been getting better or they're approaching tackling him differently. I know they're trying to keep him in the pocket.
Yeah, maybe hes just getting worn out from running away from all of the guys the line lets through. I dunno but our o-line is pretty ridiculous.

I think he's good, not great, and certainly not "elite".
He's overrated for the hype he gets (considering Willie Parker is the most criminally underrated player in the league), but he's not a total fraud.
He's very athletic, and contrary to popular opinion (except by resident Steelers Fans who know) is a very mobile QB. Strong arm, and pretty good at play action.
His decision making, when the Steelers are forced to become one-dimensional, quite simply, sucks. I would think that would have improved by now.
Short answer, probably a top 10 QB, but not top 5.

Brady and Manning occupy #'s 1 & 2. What remaining 3 QB's in your opinion rank above him?

I actually think that his decision making has improved substantially, my biggest problem with him is that he tries too hard to make a big play when there is nothing there. I can attest to this by looking at his int's only 9 for the season, so obviously his decision making hasn't been terrible.
Ah. Oh well there goes my theory that you guys had a flame war for the ages and got booted for a couple of days to cool off.

There's only two conclusions for Patriots fans on rookies. They are either a bust or being fitted for their bust in Canton.

Thats something I would like to know. I guess Palmer and Favre could still be rated higher but out of all of the guys that were rated higher in the preseason I think he has surpassed almost all of them. Could anyone really say that they would rather have Drew Brees or John Kitna over Ben? because I sure couln't. Hasselbeck could be a solid candidate, but Hasselbeck isn't an elite QB imo, he is a solid productive quarterback who fits in well with his team. Tony Romo? I dont think so, he hasn't proven himself enough yet, besides do any of those guys have superbowl rings? nope, has Palmer,Kitna,Brees, or Hasselbeck singlehandedly led their team to the superbowl? Hasselbeck got there, but that was probably thanks to the MVP year from Shaun Alexander. My top ten qb list would have to look something like this:
1.)Brady-everyone knows why
2.)Manning-One of the smartest QB's to ever play the game
3.)Palmer-He's having a down year, but as long as thats all it is, he is an awesome passer.
4.)Roethlisberger-He has all of the tools, he just has a little bit of maturing to do.
5.)Favre-He is still getting it done at 38, besides hes Brett Favre
6.)Hasselbeck-He has been a solid franchise QB for the hawks for along time.
7.)Romo-He's looked good so far, lets see if it continues
8.)Mcnabb-When 100% he is one of the best, problem is, when is he 100%
9.)Derek Anderson-he's been a surprise and the browns are a winning team. who would have known?
10.)Bulger-A fine passer, hes just too unreliable.

Brady
Manning
Romo
Palmer
Favre
--
Anderson
Kitna
Roethlisberger
--Note: Favre and Anderson wouldn't have been on this list last year, then again, neither would Roethlisberger.
And as far as the "Romo is/could be a flash in the pan" arguement, I'll buy it, however, Romo's 1st 16 games are clearly superior to Roethlisberger's first 16.

Then again, it's in only 288 attempts, with is good for 16th in the league.
I understand Willie Parker is amazing, but 25 attempts a game isn't many.
I should hope he wouldn't throw that many INTs. The 106 rating is very good.
