Yeah, but that's the problem. We are bombarded by trolls and so we end up not having much tolerance for those of you that seem to be good guys. I bet that most of your fan base is alright, but you gotta admit that all the morons seemed to have decended on our website all at once! Anyway, enjoy the game, and come back some time when your troll element has moved on to screw around elsewhere. ![]() |

Have you guys read the Sign on San Diego Chargers board? It's unbelivable, you would think they have won the last 10 super bowls the way they are talking over there.

Let them get excited for this week. After Sunday they'll go back to forgetting that they ever had a football team.
In all seriousness, I'm in the same boat of not having against San Diego fans. They're harmless by reputation, really.

It's funny, but the SD fans remind me of the Miami fans.

Dude...no one in their right Chargers Fans minds would say that because we have 9 Pro Bowlers is a slam dunk win against the Pats. We know who we're up against with a Tom Brady lead team. Tom Brady over and over has shown that he can lead a Pats team to victories - no matter what circumstances may bring. He has the rings to show for it. 9 Pro Bowlers...whoopie! I'm sure those guys would trade that for a ring any damn day of the week. We haven't earned anyone's respect until we can beat very storied teams like you guys and whoever else is on our plate to get to Miami and get that Lombardi (which is a short list: Ravens and then the Colts). Like I said, you guys have what we want. But the road to the Super Bowl must go through San Diego. You know what I'm talking about....you guys have been in this situation before. 9 Pro Bowlers....pfft....give us a damn ring!!!! ![]() Last edited by tomlinson21; 01-08-2007 at 07:23 PM. |

here we are in san diego, sunshine capital, and we for YEARS have been hoping and praying for a winning team. sure, we have the padres, and they flare up from time to time, but, well, their history speaks for itself now - this year's chargers. we expected good things, and got really good things from them. every team expected us to fold in the end, and we won home field and a bye week. this is virgin territory for the modern fan... and then, we had a week off, and quite candidly, the splits of the 2 afc games last week was about a bad as it could have been for us... i would have MUCH rather have played the chiefs or the jets, but then you had to go and ruin that for us... so - all this adds up to a pent-up, overly excited fan base. ok. no excuses for rudeness, but i wanted you to have a flavor of the backdrop. |

First of all... let me say that not all Charger fans are dipsh!ts. I've seen a few on here that made me cringe, but trust me they're not all like that.
I post on the forum listed above this post, and got linked here by one of the threads. I usually don't post on other boards, but I figured I might have to this week. Should be a good game. Nobody is underestimating the Pats, as I'm sure none of the Pats are underestimating the Bolts. Couple things to note though... I've noticed that many of your fans get caught up in stats to explain the Chargers team. That's a shame. Although stats can tell some of the story, they can blur the rest. I can understand your reasoning because you probably haven't watched too many games that the Chargers have played, so that is all you have to go on. Let me tell you my point of view from a fan that has seen every game. This team is good. Very solid all the way around. Plus we now have our entire starting offense and defense healthy. One of my concerns is Rivers. I am not sure how he will handle the game plan that your coaches have for him. If he is rattled early, it could be a long day for the Chargers. Anyway… Cheers to all. I may post a few more now that I went through the process. “Stay classy” |

I think you guys aren't looking at it the right way. Of course the posting volume and chest thumping is going to increase. Due to the fact it's the playoffs. It's crunch time & the NFL is going into the home stretch.
C'mon guys don't let some of my fellow Bolt fans get under your skin. It's all for the love of the game right? Take it all with a grain of salt. Thats why it's called "trash talk". The way I look at it is at least both our teams are here and giving us chance to talk smack. I actually like the Patriots. I think both teams are pretty evenly matched and it should be a good game. |

It must be a combination of the warm weather, too many pina coladas, and being unable to sellout your stadium on a consistant basis.
