Default OT: Broncos beat the Chargers

Denver has been a thorn in the side of the Patriots for decades, but I have to give my props to Mike Shanahan tonight. Rather than a fade he called a middle of the field play for a TD to get within one. But the next play was the best - rather than do the safe, 'by the book' play, he saw something and went for two - very similar to the way BB goes against 'the book' at times - and Denver beat San Diego.

Props to Shanahan for not conforming to the easy call, and thanks for making the Chargers 0-2.

This is just great after spanking the R-A-T-S. Even though its early and the Chargers took a while to get going last year, these two losses to start the year are excellent given that we own their second round pick next year and they are one of our competitors for homefield advantage.
Excellent day!!!

And L-no class-T had only 26 yards!!!

But it was a game for passing! 722 yards between the 2 passers!

And LT also was out for most of the game. You missed that part. Oh yeah, and the refs gave Denver 14 points. That's not sour grapes, you'll read about it tomorrow.

Keep losing SD as the Pats own the chargers second round pick in this coming draft courtesy of a draft day trade. Last year was the 49ers draft watch, this year hopefully the Chargers one will be as entertaining.

Interesting game, if I was a Chargers fan I would be PISSED since they should have had the game won but the ref blew the call on Cutler's fumble. Still, they had two chances to stop them and couldn't, all I can say is I'm glad we don't play the Chargers next week as they will be out to kill their next opponent.

How did the Chargers give up 31 points in the FIRST HALF ALONE??

Sorry-but THAT'S the reason why you lost!

They got screwed by the refs. Pretty sad when a guy admits he got it wrong, and still doesn't do anything. Some of these rules stink.

Makes sense. On one hand, you're looking at a coin flip, and on the other hand your offense has to get 2 yards. If you have any faith in your offense, you should make the call that Shanahan made.

I don't get it. What do you want him to do? There's nothing you can do at that point. He blew the whistle because he thought he saw the QB lose the ball when his arm was in motion. You're supposed to blow the play dead when you see that.
