Zeke Elliot suspended 6 games.

I guess my reasoning for singling it out [i.e., why post anything stupid since it mostly just perpetuates stupidity] is that I used to be pretty into Brandt - took his opinions seriously given his career experience. I've listened to enough Ross Tucker / Business of Football podcasts now to know that his takes don't often have enough quality to them to demonstrate to warrant attention. Disappointing because, again, his background is extensive.
Brandt was very good in the early days of the National Football Post.

Several years at BSPN has robbed him of any honesty.

I'm having such joy reading that forum right now. Very few of them gave a damn when the Patriots were getting dragged through the mud.
Its amazing. Brady was RAN through the mud and essentially nobody gave a damn. It must hurt when the BS happens to you. Id accept Dallas as allies, but screw them. Too late!

Would love Kraft to call BS on the Browne decision when you look at this one. That's plenty of fuel for the fire.

I have no love for EE but will not believe anything out of the NFL office until I see detailed, verifiable proof after what they pulled on the Saints, Pats and Richie Incognito. A series of blatant lies , taking things out of context and ever changing standards and punishments has left my a cynic. They may be 100% correct in this decision but they have no earned my benefit of a doubt and probably never will.

Been fun talking to Cowboy fans. They are shocked this happened when the accuser was show to be lying and there is no evidence but of course Brady cheated. basically telling them to buckle up and they will learn what Patriots and Saints fans already know, truth does not matter, justice does not matter, facts don't matter. If Ezekiel wants a reduction he needs to beg Goodell for forgiveness and kiss his ass.

The accuser was shown to be lying about one out of four incidents AND there is plenty of evidence in the other three incidents that she was physically abused by Mr Elliot, who clearly needs some help dealing with his relationships with others. The legal system stopped their investigation because the "accuser" stopped accusing. The DA told the NFL's investigators that they felt that 3 of the 4 accusations were truthful. The "accuser" didn't cooperate. There's lots of reasons why that could be.

The Cowboys fans want to hang their hats on the idea that the one false accusation negates the 3 truthful ones. It might work that way in a jury situation, but it doesn't work that way in King Roger's Court. It appears the calculus worked out that Roger felt he had no choice but move forward with the suspension. I suspect he might have underestimated Jerry's anger and his ability to do something about it. Should make for some interesting times going forward.

If Ezekiel wants a reduction he needs to beg Goodell for forgiveness and kiss his ass.
Krafty Bob tried that approach and landed on his ass.

Jerry is furious because he thought the fix was in, and in the end, Roger didn't deliver the goods.

I feel this is likely to lead to the end of Roger.

If you think that says something about how much more pull Jones has than Kraft, I think you are right.

Other than citing Article 46, can someone smarter than I explain why EE received a 6 game suspension and Brown only one for the same horrible, incomprehensible behavior?

I get Jerry is pissed but my question is what is he pissed about specifically?

Someone, NFLPA maybe, should file and injunction to prevent Roger being the arbitrator of Zeke's appeal. Something along the basis of incompetence and demonstrable lack of fairness. As we know, once he gets to arbitrate, the game is lost.
I picked the Gints and Eagles to fight for top spot in that division and I stand by it.
I have to go Giants top 10 defense with A streaky Manning with a bevy of offensive weapons is enough to dethrone the Boys.

Sorta OT - but I find this statement to be very stupid.

Reading the article a while back that cited how Spygate was the impetus for Deflategate gave me some perspective on this point. Owners wanted to absolutely nail the Patriots in Deflategate. Why? Because the Patriots "needed to pay for Spygate".

I was like....WTF!?!? The Patriots paid, at the time, the harshest penalty the NFL had EVER issued with Spygate. Even if this was a legitimate rationale (which it's not...but presuming it IS) for hammering them with the nonsensical Deflategate stuff.... THE NFL HAMMERED THE CRAP out of the Patriots for Spygate to the tune of the harshest penalty ever instituted until.....Deflategate.

So yeah, when teams look at the NFL bringing down the strongest penalty in league history and think that somehow the Patriots still needed to pay for it, you know that perspectives are TOTALLY out of whack here. So this tweet actually does not surprise me at all.

Yeah, they are about to get a huge lesson in reality. They actually think they stand a chance!!! It's actually funny how ignorant they are. One jabroni said Elliott will win his arbitration!!

It's is pretty tough to file an injunction against something you agreed to in a CBA.

Never underestimate the stupidity of other people. I see countless comments from moron fans of other teams - especially Cowboys fans - saying the Patriots got away with Spygate and that they got nothing but a slap on the wrist.
