I still think he would of been a stud here with Brady. It’s all about timing and location I guess.Remember Tavon Austin to the Pats in 2013?

Marcus Jones was pick 85, Jack Jones was pick 121, Joshua Bledsoe was pick 188.Huh? You mean they’re great at finding UDFAs right?
There is a huge hole at OT. Specifically LT.fair enough
I strongly prefer and expect an OL or front seven player.
However, if the value isn't there, I could see Bill drafting one of the 3 corners. IMO, it is better to do that to trade down and not get a blue chip player. Of course, there may be no blue chip plyers available, per Bill's board at the time.
I would say that if the Pats traded back, picked Washington later in the first, then traded back up and picked someone like Flowers in the early second, I wouldn't be complaining at all.Trade back in the first…
Darnell Washington no matter what. Give me an offensive lineman who is also a WR. Gronk 2.0
I'd be fine with it - love Flowers. I think he's possibly the best WR in the draft if he hits his potential.
That said, there's a lot of guys who fit a very similar mold in this draft who you could take in later rounds... I'm somewhat inclined to maybe double-dip, but they also really need to scoop up at least one TE, multiple offensive linemen, and grab some DBs... and a kicker...
And that Chad Jackson would become an All pro...What a crappy way to find out you're going to suck in the NFL as a WR.
Mike Reiss is on board with your thinking. It’s tough to tell with him, but sometimes he drops nuggets like this as a hint of what he’s hearing from the organization.Trade back in the first…

But not all tight ends are created equal -- some are bigger receivers, others are more like a sixth offensive lineman -- and that’s where Belichick’s history and what he values at the position are worthy of revisiting. A true combination type with elite physical traits is rare in Belichick’s view, which sparked a question to me: Why wouldn’t he consider Georgia’s Darnell Washington (6-foot-7, 264 pounds, 4.64 in the 40) as early as the No. 14 overall pick?
i think Washington will grab that playerNobody has a ****in clue what BB will do. Two words…Cole Strange. There is a good chance we take a WTF player at 14. It’s just the way it is as a Pats fan.
Nagy knows what he's talking about. I always listen to him even though I usually have the same names. He's a character but great for football and is absolutely plugged in.Mike Reiss is on board with your thinking. Which NFL draft prospects are best fits to fill Patriots' needs?
...............or has a scouting report that states "has difficulty creating separation"Find a WR who gets injured all the time, or goes to a small school or transferred four times in four years.....
That’s who they’re taking
Bledsoe has shown exactly zero.Marcus Jones was pick 85, Jack Jones was pick 121, Joshua Bledsoe was pick 188.
There is no need to use pick 14 on a DB.
Bledsoe has shown exactly zero.
Marcus is our punt returner and HOPEFULLY a potential nickel back.
Jack Jones shows potential as befitting a 3rd round. He will compete for reps as 2nd year player as befits a 3rd round pick.
====================================
So sure, I could see us getting some potential help in the 3rd and 4th round.
Most aren't sure that we have even close to enough quality at CB in 2023.
Folks want to move Jonathan or Mills to safety. Let's say they move Jonathan.
==================
OUTSIDE: Mills, Jones, Wade, 3rrd rounder
NICKEL: Bryant, Marcus Jones
I think that this is nowhere good enough.
