I will never forget watching Hoyer against the Chiefs in 2020. I think that was the worst display of quarterbacking I have ever seen. The overthrows, the interceptions, noodle-armed passes, and the absolutely ridiculous sack he took with all day to throw right before the half to cost us 3, and then the strip sack deep in the red zone to cost us another 3. With the way the defense was playing and how well we were running the ball, Hoyer could have just spiked the ball into the ground on every pass play, and we would have had a better chance of winning. The 6 QBs who started for the Patriots in the last 4 1/2 years (Newton, Hoyer, Stidham, Zappe, Mac and Brissett) have to be the worst collection of 6 QBs in NFL history. I don't think it's even comparable with any other collection of 6.
Maybe, Maybe, Maybe the Tony Eason, Scott Secules, Marc Wilson, Hugh Millen, Tom Hodson and Scott Zolak era was worse.
The Patriots now have the worst and second worst collection of 6 in NFL history.
What an achievement.
