Yeah, there’s not much you can do with the Pats D at this point. Teams are going to throw short crossers and check downs to RB’s all day with the snails the Pats have at LB.Pats

The return of Chung will help. Belichick prefers bigger, stronger LBs, so I’m guessing that we’ve been here before. Why the position wasn’t addressed with a high draft pick is beyond me, but they must really like Wynn, Michel, and Dawson.Yeah, there’s not much you can do with the Pats D at this point. Dawson looks like a bad pick with Crossen and Jackson doing well. The return of Chung will help. Belichick prefers bigger, stronger LBs, so I’m guessing that we’ve been here before. Now I know they didnt expect late round and a undrafted player to play that well.Dawson looks like a bad pick with Crossen and Jackson doing well.
@Miguel - With Rishard being a vested Veteran, I know that his salary is guaranteed. That means that Tennessee will be paying him the $5M. If the Pats were to sign him for the Vet Minimum, he would still get the remaining $5M from Tenn, correct?

They said he struggled in camp and preseason as well. What a terrible take

Concerns About DawsonWho is they ? The voices in your head ?
Concerns About Dawson
Even though Dawson played well last season at Florida, there are still some concerns heading into his NFL career. Some NFL scouts have said that Dawson is an average athlete. His athleticism has shown the issue of him keeping up with other receivers. This questions Dawson’s ability to cover elite athletes at the NFL level. Scouts also have issues with Dawson grabbing other receivers in coverage. This can lead to quite a few penalties in which the Patriots do not put up with. If Dawson can’t overcome these concerns, his tenure in New England may be short-lived.
Smart ass

That says nothing specific to camp or pre-season. In fact it sounds like draft frenzy clickbailt. Link would help show whether it was written before camp even opened or if it really does support your point.Concerns About Dawson

Duke Dawson: New England Patriots X-Factors - Last Word on Pro FootballCan you link that?
If Bill wanted a LB at 143, then he should've taken the more athletic, higher-regarded Genard Avery. Bentley would've been almost guarateed to be available with the pick used to select Christian Sam (178).Now I know they didnt expect late round and a undrafted player to play that well.
I was yelling for a few linebackers one really hurts.

Bill would rather have average athletes with more "product knowledge" than superior athletes with less "product knowledge." That's part of his "I'd rather lose my way than win another way" mentality.Does it not seem like the Patriots are obsessed with average athletes?
I’d love to see my daughters walk down the aisle with Jordan Richards, I hate to see him suit up for my team.Bill would rather have average athletes with more "product knowledge" than superior athletes with less "product knowledge." That's part of his "I'd rather lose my way than win another way" mentality.
Still doesn't explain how he could select Glitch Richards from Stanford at the end of the 2nd round yet bypass Justin Reid, also from Stanford - and superior in Every Imaginable Way to Glitch - at the end of the 2nd round three years later. I guess it must've been Glitch's "leadership" (snicker) skills.
It's really impressive how often he loses his way, especially compared to the winning percentages other coaches compile doing it a different way. It's downright scary.Bill would rather have average athletes with more "product knowledge" than superior athletes with less "product knowledge." That's part of his "I'd rather lose my way than win another way" mentality.
