So any fantasy trade of Watson would pry involve Stiddy.
Wouldn’t it suck to trade picks and Stiddy to watch him become a stud for Houston.
I’m on record here any move Obrein makes do trade Watson he is fired immediately and they pay a huge about of money to Eric Bienemy to be a head coach.
That by far would be the best move and best PR move.

Oh that’s right...Bill will give him the cheat code like he did with Brady, so it will be really easy. What is it? Up Down Left Right hold A and B, Select Start?

**** I feel old now. Cause I know there are some twenty somethings going WTF is that...

Who wouldn’t?

Acquiring a top 5 QB in the game? Hell yeah.

And what exactly has Watson accomplished in the nfl? I mean he holds the ball forever, couldn’t read a milk carton let alone an nfl defense and when doubt knows to throw it in Hopkins general direction!

For a one year rental? Absolutely not.

You wouldn’t trade for an elite QB in his prime if he only has a year left on his contract? Lol. I can see how this carries over to your Brady takes. You think Bill will just coach up some loser because you think that’s how it works.

2020 will be eye opening.

It's a Deftones song, right?

(no, I know what it is)

I'd do you one better... I'd give up the 1, next year's 3rd or 2nd and Gilmore. I'd extend JC jackson immediately and Watson.
No need to extend Jackson immediately, RFA next year. Can be 1st round tendered and they can match any offer if it comes. But yeah he could be the “Gilmore replacement” in that scenario though it would suck to lose Gilmore.

Think it was up down up down left right left right actually

No. 20 years is all the quality quarterback play that I want.

100% Agree. I've been on this forum for many years, and unfortunately these days the majority of posts and insight are written by these tight knit group of friends who are big homers and Belichick apologists.

2020 will absolutely be eye opening if we stick with Stidham and Hoyer.

I love the idea of Watson, Top 10 QB in his prime

Agreed unless you can do the deal now to save millions later.

I've come to notice this also. BB is amazing but he's had the biggest luxury in sports, the biggest equalizer ever minus maybe Jordan or Tiger.

curious how we'd afford the 30+ million hes going to get a year

We have 100 million in cap space starting next year. Something around there anyway. Don't let some people fool you into thinking the cap was ever the issue with signing Brady. We could pay Watson if we needed to, especially if we traded Gilmore in the deal.

The cap situation make this difficult. Let's say that we give Jackson a $40M bonus on a 4 year extension, not a huge amount for a top corner. That would add $7M to the 2020 cap. Even a $20M bonus would add $3M. A bonus of only $20M would require serious guaranteed salary after 2020.

I suppose one way is to have almost no bonus money and lots of guaranteed money. For example, we could give him a $10M bonus (good faith and a cap hit of $2M) and lots of guaranteed money.
