Probably the Chiefs

It was awesome shoving the Broncos comeback down their throats but, I hit up my falcons buds and was like "bro I'm soo sorry I can't even make fun of you for this one."

I think it will either be the Falcons or the LA Chargers. The only reason I say the Chargers is that the NFL could put out all the Opening Night promos which would highlight the fact that the Chargers are now the LA Chargers.

A loss on opening night to the Pats as they hang another banner might be too much for the Falcons to handle. Plus they are opening their new stadium, so the NFL might give them a Primetime home game to open the season.

I think you can cross of the opening game being a divisional game. That leaves the falcons, panthers, chargers, chiefs, and Texans. I actually think the Panthers could be a dark horse to get the game, but I don't think they will. I think it will end up being atlanta. I think Atlanta or Carolina would be the two best games for ratings

Why not? The Superbowl was one of for the edges! I don't mind seeing a Superbowl rematch on opening night for the 2nd straight year!

There's not many better options than bringing Atlanta to NE.

From looking at who we play next year, I would say it will probably be :

1-Atlanta
2-Houston
3-KC

One of the best parts of getting to host opening night is that that f*** Goodell will finally be forced to come to Gillette.

Different season. Different stakes.

You don't wanna see the team you lost to raise a banner on opening night? Then don't lose the game.

Set it up.
Or ***** slap the winning team in their house when they raise the banner. That would also suffice at this point....

I think it's harder to recover from getting ***** slapped than losing a close game.
I dunna know.
Blowing a 25 point lead in the 4th Q of a Super Bowl has to have damaged their psyches.

Will he get an "invite" ?

Maybe. He didn't bother showing up 2 years ago.

More than losing 40-3?
At least they can feel they were good enough and just needed to make one more play.

I think its different depending on the magnitude of the game.

Losing in the regular season 40-3 isn't a big deal.

Being up 28-3 in the Super Bowl with as little as 17 minutes remaining and committing the biggest choke job ever is going to take a lot of mental toughness to overcome.
