Words on things I watched, read & heard

2012 was a great LB draft class. With players such as:

1(9) - Luke Kuechly
1(25) - Dont'a Hightower
2(47) - Bobby Wagner
2(58) - Lavonte David
3(77) - Demario Davis
4(105) - Nigel Bradham
6(188) - Danny Trevathan
Yup, maybe the best class of all-time. I had a 1st on LK, David, Wagner & HT. 3rd on Trevathan, Davis & Burfict. 5th on Bradham. Zach Brown was pretty decent for a while. Has to be the best ever or top 3 all-time.

Good stuff. KC, particularly Hill was killing the league on the overs/crossers. Too much speed and space for 15/10. Now they have 17. Bill is amazing.

5th on Onwenu, 2nd on Jefferson, 3rd on Robinson - evaluating prospects is hard.

Not a bad for at all by 21. Bill really making it work with 200lb S in the box. If we have a winning record name the COY after him.

I'll be dropping some Bills clips today too when I get a chance. Daboll & Allen, both have been great. Fun watch. Tough game coming up.

That is absolutely insane. Is David the only one still playing at an all pro level? Others seem to have fallen off as of late (those still playing).

Davis is playing well. HT still at a high level last year. David still looks like a top 5-10 LB rn.

Love this design/play from BD. Wish we saw more misdirection off conventional plays.

Left side - Motion pulls defenders wide / while the vert stretches the field.

Right side - looks like a levels/flood concept except Davis breaks away towards MOF which is now wide open.

Buffalo has a little bit of everything. Diggs & Beasley bring quick hitters. Run great routes but both make it happen at the catch point. Daboll will put them in the backfield. Brown still has big time speed. Add Davis, another deep/intermediate threat. Plus the running game/TE ... Buffalo is deep and talented. Top 5 weapons or very close to there

Allen's patience, footwork & eyes have all improved. Footwork stands out for a few reasons.
1)Its still bad at times, still doesn't do himself any favors but he's not getting stuck in the mud so to speak. He doesn't stop his feet, keeps them moving. That's important bc ...
2)That's usually indicative of a QB's eyes stopping, confusing-late reads/progressions.

So as a Bills fan you're happy to see him become more comfortable in the system. Display an understanding of running it. Understand the concepts, what the defense is trying to do. I'm on record of saying he wasn't nearly as bad as some made him out to be last year. He's made a significant jump though. Can't ignore it and it's exactly what you want to see in your young QB.

Definitely working on mechanics though. He's much more of a full body/core/hips passer now. Dude has an unbelievable whip. Definitely using more core/hips when letting firing.

Again footwork is big. He's not stopping his feet. He's resetting, adjusting his platform when he can. And guys like him, Rodgers, Mahomes, Wilson can get away with passes 99.9% of others can't do. An understanding of your scheme, trust in your guys will go a long way. Game has slowed down for Allen quite a bit imo.

1st play
He's basically reading this creeper S after 28 is a no go. Works from right to left. Holds S in MOF and tosses a rope to Diggs.

I mentioned how Daboll would be this year's Roman a few weeks back but it's incredible how far their offense has come. They're not afraid to spread you out, 3/4 wide or run it on you. Allen is a big threat to run at all times, you can't just rush him any way you want. They have talent on both sides. Well coached. Have drafted very well recently. Buffalo is a legit contender in 2020-21.

Everyone hoping on the voice overs. Still undecided on them. Very useful in some instances for sure.

Ben is awesome. He'll be running a team one day.

KC looks human for the third game in a row. First two are understandable, they've always had a hard time against Bradley & Bill. Today you lose to Oakland. They didn't do anything special except literally out score KC but Oak stopped them just enough. Buffalo is good enough to beat anyone in the league. That's a must see game for so many reasons.
