Wolf has made worse GM decisions than post Brady BB

Using the PS to learn about and develop players makes good sense. Bringing back a player who you released after being on the roster for weeks does not. It would have been better to add a different player who has unexplored potential.
It makes sense if you are like, dude isn't active roster ready but is young and could develop well with more time.

That is a good point, I should have been more specific. Jordan does not meet either criteria which is why I thought it was an exercise in failure for the team. The fact that they already released him off the practice makes the team look even worse.

I agree with you, but given the amount of play he had, I don't necessarily fault them for keeping him available as an emergency option. You're right though the fact that they have someone that is not start able bouncing on and off the PS is not a good look but I understand-ish

Mayo was not put in an impossible situation.

He schmoozed himself into a position he was in no way qualified, thus contributing to the impossible situation.

Mayo put himself above what was best for the team.
**** Kraft been putting himself above the best needs of the team for years, BB did the same and now Mayo is also in the boat. Lets not pretend that this is a new thing in New England.

And that's the chance we have to take. I wan't a Offensive minded HC who have legit experience. Not a RK ball washer.
I was really hoping we would go for an offensive minded HC, reason is that if the OC eventually gets an HC job then we aren't switching systems with a new OC

And he can Double outside with Gonzo no fly zone.
I feel like Gonzo and Hunter would be dope AF, but I wonder which position he wants to play most given that he is not going to be full time at both positions.

And they are still far better than the players we are playing at those spots and the guy we drafted.
Don't be daft. I think Lowe is better than Paul or Kinsgley at this point in their careers

Its easy for both of us to make claims than can never be proven. lol.
Seems as though this round is a draw.
Well it’s always opinion. And no unless one person is ill informed and accepts that they are any evaluation can’t be proven and 2 people rarely agree on every evaluation.

I thought that was obvious.

It is obvious, the way you double down on some of your takes made me think you didn't realize how obvious.

Nor sure what you mean by double down.
If I give you my considered opinion and you disagree without anything persuasive you won’t change my opinion.
I gave my opinion, you said “I think otherwise” with nothing to support it.

Did you expect me to say “oh, guess I must be wrong”?
Why would I give an opinion in the first place if someone I don’t know and have no clue of their level of knowledge disagrees for no particular reason and so I change my mind?

No need to comment, I honestly thought it was done when I said it was easy for us to have opinions we can't prove. Then you made another comment, then me, then you and now I just want to see how long this goes. We have each said WAAAY more than needed to be said.

Fire Elliot Wolf.

Excuse me if this has been brought up.

The premise of the whole thread is incorrect. Wolf is not even general manager.

He's executive VP of player personnel. In common language: A fill in.

Kraft could hire a real general manager, and keep Wolf at this position, if he chooses to stay. He'd be #2 like he always was.

You don't have to fire Wolfe. Kraft could say this was his plan all along.

Everybody wins.

Mayo is not even his hire. Kraft promised the job to Thunder.

Wolf is NOT general manager.

So the question isn't should he be fired. It's does he deserve a promotion?

Only the Krafts are listed under Front Office on the team website. Why am I not surprised.

Yeah they are general manager.

Just like Bill was. Wolf holds the title like Scott Pioli and others.

It's probably the agreement he's had with Wolf all along after messing up with Mayo.

They will bring someone in, and Wolf will stay.

So, Kraft couldn't get the GM he wanted last year. He gave Wolf a year and now will assess is options.

I suspect that Wolf may get the promotion, or perhaps Kraft will make his decisions after the 2025 season if he can't find an appropriate choice in this off-season.

Having a top QB, top draft picks, and $100M a year to spend for the next 2-3 years has got to be tempting, especially if the new GM gets to name coaches (even if Mayo is to stay as a figurehead).
