Wolf has made worse GM decisions than post Brady BB

Fire Elliot Wolf.

It is a ****ing Disgrace that this guy - as utterly unremarkable as he is - had to sit behind two completely UNdeserving, worthless piles of ****ing **** like SlloPolk & half-Baked. Our rookie QB deserves better... And our Grocery-Shoppers need to be FIRED before they can **** UP another season of his development.

Still thinking, but I haven't seen anything but a Slam Dunk yet.
Stone Hands and Dumbass....
Don't forget the "If you need speed, you have to draft speed..."
Chunks, who was a RT that was BENCHED for a rookie...hired to play LT Here hahaha, what a fkn CLOWN move, that lasted how many snaps before he walked out?
Everything else I've seen since is fkn Fantasy Football ********.
Bah

Ja’Lynn Polk Scouting Report:

Polk is more of a secondary receiver for the next level because he lacks mismatch speed against pro corners. To go along with not being very fast, Polk is not a twitchy or explosive athlete, so he could have separation issues. Polk might not have the early acceleration to overtake and stack NFL press corners. He also lacks ideal suddenness getting in and out of his breaks as a route runner.

Polk doesn’t display a lot of burst or acceleration on his film. He’s more of a smooth athlete than a sudden one, and his 4.52 40-yard dash and 37.5” vertical were about what I expected based on how he plays. He isn’t going to blow anyone away with his speed.

He isn’t a huge threat after the catch with his 5.2 average yards after the catch per reception (YAC/R), which ranked just 194th among qualifying WRs in 2023.

Polk also benefited from playing alongside talented teammates, which allowed him to play with minimal defensive attention. He was able to find soft areas against zone coverage and beat the second or third corner on many of the teams that Washington faced.

When he did face press coverage, Polk wasn’t consistent at creating clean releases off the line of scrimmage. And as noted above, he doesn’t have the long speed to separate from NFL-caliber corners. This could be more of a problem at the next level, where just about every defender he lines up against was a top-tier corner at their college program.

Javon Baker Scouting Report:

Baker’s biggest drawback is his visibly non-elite explosiveness and long speed. Athletically, his burst doesn’t separate him from NFL athletes, and he often needs a runway to gain any functional separation. He can compensate with his ability in other categories, but his ceiling may be limited as a result.

His initial burst off the line and ability to separate quickly from press coverage are concerns, as is his tendency to drop passes under pressure.

His acceleration is lackluster, lacks in pure speed, and hand-fighting is lackluster right now. He can be susceptible to DBs running him into the sideline and never letting him stride out.

Baker's questionable physicality and lack of immediate burst may mean he'll need time to hone the rest of his game before seeing the field a lot in the NFL.

The areas of concern for Baker surround his ability to beat press coverage from plus-level athletes at the defensive back position. On occasion, defenders made it difficult for Baker to create separation when they were able to get in press-man and stay attached in a trail technique. This situation brings out concern about Baker winning vertical routes against high-caliber athletes down the field.

All this being said, Baker profiles as an rotational WR4 early on in his career, with the blocking utility to provide value on early downs and schemed targets for other receivers.

You wanted the team to spend $30M to get a couple of extra wins this year. I would use the $30M to win a couple of extra games next year. In addition to having the extra money next year instead of this, the team will also have better draft picks.

I understand that you don't like this strategy. I do. The team figures to be better in 2025, 2026 and 2027 by having $30M extra money and better draft picks available in 2025.
========
Let's be clear. The team played as hard as they were able in order to win with the players that Wolf provided, as they will next year when

we will have $30M extra to spend IN ADDITION to the $110M we already had to spend. And we will have a #1-#5 draft pick each round instead of the #6-#10. Yes, I understand that some of the money could be used in later years (perhaps $10M a year) and the better draft picks (especially the Round 1 pick) could be traded for more picks, perhaps in 2026.
============
In the end, decisions are made to better the team over time and make the team more likely to win a Super Bowl over time, and for the team to be worth more over time. Decisions are not made to make a big splash with a couple of extra wins in 2024.

Agree with this completely. The goal is to build a te that will contend every year, not one that will get better for a year or two and then drop back to the pack and struggle along.

Where did that come from? Polk was a consensus day two pick, not a 7th rounder,

Can't even get on the field, had a 40+ Return, had 2 others...and then benched because he didn't do what these ******s wanted him to do.
IOW, he's a freelancer.
Does that surprise anyone when this clown showed up with an Entourage, and barked Nonsense?

He pieced together the negatives from Walter Football and Fantasy Life, excluding the good things they had to say about him.

I’m sure the hard hitting local press will ask the tough questions of Kraft, Wolf, and Mayo.

JK, probably not. They’ll all be podcast and Twitter warriors and then crumble into wimps when it comes time to ask a challenging question which points to facts and attempts to hold them accountable. Because god forbid they are alienated by the press secretary and lose access to their coward sources.

We’ll finish off the season losing all the remaining games. No changes will be made to any position of importance (I’m sure some coaching assistants and college scouts will take the fall). We sign a bunch of useless free agents and draft a bunch of reach picks, the media will work themselves into a tizzy about how much of a great offseason it was and how player x is really flashing in training camp…and then we will back here same time next season pissed off about the same ****.

Even worse is that, according to Greg Bedard, 2/3 of the league had Baker off their board, completely... TWO-THIRDS... COMPLETELY.

Because of Bill & these two ****ing Bozos who were right there with him for his last 3 years here, we once again need Offensive (read: Left) Tackles & WRs... Unfortunately, both for us & our rookie QB, Nobody in the whole ****ING BUILDING knows how to acquire any decent ones,
at EITHER position.

Red pilled Patriots fan. Say it ain't so...I'm still in denial.

He pieced together the negatives from Walter Football and Fantasy Life, excluding the good things they had to say about him.

Thanks, nicely done.

Excuse me if this has been brought up.

The premise of the whole thread is incorrect. Wolf is not even general manager.

He's executive VP of player personnel. In common language: A fill in.

Kraft could hire a real general manager, and keep Wolf at this position, if he chooses to stay. He'd be #2 like he always was.

You don't have to fire Wolfe. Kraft could say this was his plan all along.

Everybody wins.
From what the organization describes is wolf, Groh and Mayo all collaborate the roster wolf has final say.

Where did that come from? Polk was a consensus day two pick, not a 7th rounder,
These were all the negatives pieced together from various scouting agencies and they are all coming to fruition

Bottom line:: common denominator is lack of separation and fast twitch athletic ability. No more drafting wise receivers who struggle in college to beat man coverage

No not the same.

Bill chose not to have the title. Wolf has not been offered the position.

Yeah the job description might be similar, but Bill ran the team period.

Wolf is working under the Kraft's.
And Bill worked under the Kraft's.
===
But I get your point. With Wolf, Kraft has a much easier time hiring a GM than when Bill was here.
