With the Chiefs Eliminated

KC likely wont win another game. Means we have to rely on the Jaguars and Chargers to win against Denver. I’d bet the odds are high that Denver gets the #1 seed.

No they aren't. Mahomes is washed and just tore his ACL. Good luck with that. Oh and Reid is probably done or close to it. Kelce I am sure hangs it up after this season. And it wasn't just get a Gronk, Brady leveled up.
Gronk was the most important draft pick in Patriots history not named Brady. In fact, he's the most dominating TE we've seen in the last 2 decades. They don't win another Super Bowl without him. We saw how limited Brady was in games without Gronk losing multiple playoff games. Brady would've absolutely left by 2016.

Well, except 51...

Again, you are missing that they already won one with him, lost multiple playoff games without him and that I prefaced by saying Brady would've left before they won one "without him" in 2016.

Agreed.

Chargers, Colts, & Jets are wins at minimum.

Cassell did good. But there was a huge drop-off in QB play.

Big question is do the Steelers get to, and win the SB that year without an injured Brady?
zero percent chance PIT even makes the SBs in 2005, 2008, and 2010 if they play Brady. he and the Pats had their number. NE beats PIT in a close one in 2005 and wins by 10+ in 2008 and 2010

VectorPrime is correct when he says the 2008 team goes 15-1 with Brady and the 1 loss is the wildcat game. I’ve always said that exact same thing. the league was so weak that season. they handle business against PIT like they always did and then wax ARZ by 2+ scores in the SB

Spot on. I also think is knee is completely shot and will miss all of next season as well. He won't be the same after that.
Losing to the Chargers yesterday was the first time that a AFCW division rival swept Mahomes. He played all but 2 minutes.

The Broncos in a couple of weeks would have swept Mahomes for the first time too. I believe that the Broncos will be one of the teams in the AFCC this season.

Including the last Super Bowl Mahomes is now 3 games under .500 as a starter since the refs stopped helping his team.

I’m just sayin….

Mahomes age 28-30:

46 games, 75 TD's, 36 INT's 11,698 Yards

Brady age 43 to 45:

50 Games, 108 TD's. 33 INT, 14,643 Yards

There's a Mariana trench difference between these two. Anyone who thinks Mahomes will age half as good as Brady, hasn't watched Mahomes the last three years, he's been worse every successive year. He's closer to falling out of the Top 10 QB's than following Brady's footsteps.
The AFCW is no longer a cakewalk.

Denver is for sure back. LAC just swept KC.

If 2 - 12 Vegas gets the 1st pick in this draft and takes Mendoza, the Chiefs world just got complicated.

I don't think the issue is Mahomes. I believe he has been keeping the team competitive.

the team has been unable to replace Hill, in spite of using a ton of resources trying (draft and trade)
Rice is a nice intermediate target, but that's about all they have

their run game is poor, with their two top RB's better receivers than runners. they should have paid the price for Breece Hall

they need to get an OC in who can scheme the run, and find a WR that will fit Mahomes skills. AJ Brown?

Mahomes will be back in what, November? KC will have an easier schedule, prob fewer prime time games with out Mahomes.

I am starting to believe that too. At this point, it seems kind of inevitable they will get HFA throughout. The question is who their opponent would be. Buffalo as a WC would need to win two road games to play them. The Patriots, Texans/Jags are the other contenders. Of the stadiums left, Denver is arguably the toughest to play in.

NFC, the Rams are the best team in the league. But they aren't as good on the road. Which is what happens if Seattle wins out.

This might get people upset, but without KC in it, there won't be as much hatred from NFL fans. No villian.

I have been beating the Russell Wilson 2.0 drum for some time.

No doubt in my mind that the Pats would've also defeated ****tsdirt at home in the regular season that year if Brady had started. Then how would that have affected the Squealers PO positioning, I wonder...

Yep.

Had the Pats taken care of their own business in Denver vs the Donkeys & Zebras in the 2005 POs, there's NFW that ****tsdirt goes to Foxborough for the AFCC and wins. None.

Same in 2010 if the Pats had simply beaten the ****ING JETE AT ****ING HOME. Still pisses me the **** off. That was the year I hosted my first and last playoff-watching party in Hershey PA

Hosting Patriots playoff-watching parties in Hershey, Penn. would be a tough sell however you cut it. Even with free booze.
