I’m just hoping he doesn’t get set back by having to rehab his MCL, either taking time off for it to heal or even having surgery. I expect surgery may be in his immediate future. Hopefully he can do a lot of upper body strength and conditioning even while his knee is healing.

I agree. How can Campbell train while healing for 4 to 5 months?

Why would Vrabel say anything else? Even if he wanted to upgrade at left tackle he would never want to reveal his hand before the draft.

It never hurts to give a vote of confidence in public even if behind closed doors you are monitoring the situation and ready to move for an upgrade at tackle if a good opportunity arises.

I don't think it makes him look like a fool because getting outcoached happens especially when there is such a talent disparity. I did not like the Marrone hire when it happened, but he is a decent coach. Still not a big Marrone fan.
