Wasn't that third stringer Clint Sintim? That dude is a MAJOR scrub...

Mr. MAJOR scrub made his team, so now at best he is a 2nd stringer. Also I was not talking about his pedigree, I was ONLY talking about his WEIGHT.

I mean, he wears Sintim like an bulky overcoat into the end zone, and then in his next TD he outruns a cornerback.

That is the physical gifts that he has had, and that is one of the factors that I was considering in terms of gauging what kind of impact he could have.

And yet he isn't the second coming of Lawrence Taylor either.

I think that the VOCAL BJGE fans yesterday were exactly that, Maroney haters.
That is how this thread reached 99000 posts.

I was pretty vocal and I'm a huge Maroney apologist. I don't disagree, though, that there are numerous short-sighted folks who think BJGE is better and more valuable than Maroney, which is silly. I just think BJGE is good and worth keeping.

DaBruinz is probably the only person on this thread who doesn't like BJGE. Andy and I are responsible for probably 75+% of the pro-maroney posts, and we both like BenJarvus and have gone to great lengths to make that clear. We just didn't think that he was better than the other 4 running backs, and didn't think we needed a fifth. So no... it doesn't mean that.

I never said I didn't like him. I just don't believe he's all that the way many people on here would have you believe.

In fact, you won't be able to find a post where I have said I hate BJGE and that his being on the team hurts the team.

Case in point.

I've spent countless hours, days, months, years defending Maroney, and I'll likely spend many many more, but now I'm part of "BJGE fanatics whining that they are getting made fun of", despite not saying a single word about BJGE.

Andy and BradyFTW, I think if you re-read the thread you may be surprised to see which "side" started the bashing of the other.

And that's my last post on it. No more whining.

I just thought it was funny that you were whining about people whining. No offense meant.

You seem to hate people who like BJGE.

What exactly was BJGE doing in that play? I don't have DVR like you do, all I can do is try to remember from thursday night.

But judging by the way you're talking about him, he must have pulled an Alex Smith.

BJGE was lined up in the backfield and he was supposed to pick up the blitzer from the Hoyer's backside. Instead, BJGE moved up to engage one of the linemen who was already engaged with the O-line...

That would be an idiotic assumption on your part. And it would mean you haven't actually read what I've said....

But that is typical. People only read what they want..

Try going back and reading the posts.. it helps.

Which sack was this? What time in the game? That's the clarification I was looking for, because I think we are talking about two different sacks.

Yes I did, and I'm reading where you called BJGE fans idiots..

Which sack are you talking about?

I'm looking at the one that takes place at 7:39 in the first quarter. BJGE clearly engages the ILB, and I was wrong about the safety.

Tuck came inside on a stunt, in which case Orhnberger is at fault.

What part of CB BLITZ do you not understand? I've only said it every time you've asked..

I think bashing is the wrong word, but I think you will find we called out a poster or posters who were using faulty facts to trash Maroney.
I dont think you will find bashing of BJGE, but rather 'bashing' (again disagree with the word, but you chose it) of the uninformed 'bashing' of Maroney.

I think we should all just come together in love and harmony, sing Abba tunes, wear symbols of peace on homemade necklaces, eat vegan food and just enjoy the 'oneness'.

Case in point.

Would you care to quote the post where someone called you, specfically, a BJGE fanatic??

I did NOT see a CB BLITZ on the first sack is what I'm saying, but I missed the 2nd sack, so I am guessing that one was a CB BLITZ and that BJGE must have pulled an Alex Smith and stood there with his pants down, the way you're talking about him.

I already did quote it. It's the quote in the post you just quoted from.

Clearly you aren't because that wasn't what was said. But that's ok. Its pretty typical for people to read into things and make assumptions about what is being said because most people think that there is some hidden meaning.

Just like the dumb assumption of yours that I hate people who like BJGE. I could care less who likes BJGE. The issue I have always had is with the idiots who INSIST that BJGE is the next coming of some great player based on his mediocre play from last season.

Sorry, Lamp, that's not quoting it. QUOTING it would be going to the specific message you are referring to and hitting the QUOTE button so people can see where YOU, Lampshade, were called a BJGE Fanatic.
