Wildcard Game Thread: Chargers @ Ravens

Did anyone else notice this in the player introductions for the Ravens?:

On the surface, this is something the Ravens do to fire up their defense and fans. The problem is, the NFL banned teams from bringing props, like baseball bats, in 2015 as a result of the Odell Beckham-Josh Norman fracas (The Panthers had been bringing a bat on the field before games, a Carolina pointed at Beckham with the bat, Beckham felt threatened and then headhunted Norman during the game.)

This may seem like a trivial matter, but we all know how serious disobeying an NFL memo or any rule, no matter how inconsequential, can be. Considering the Ravens were fined $200k back in August for violating the helmet communications guidelines and have several other minicamp violations over the last few years, a substantial fine should be in order. This wasn't a one-time thing, either as this photo from the week 17 game against the Browns shows:

Who am I kidding, though? I just gave this matter more attention than the NFL ever will. They'll take action on this right after they fine the Steelers for lying about Antonio Brown on the injury report.

That’s interesting, great catch.

Someone should bring this to Florio’s attention. You’re right though it’s doubtful the NFL will do anything.
