I'm watching the game-that-shall-not-be-named on NFLN (first time I've watched it since that horrible night). Score is 7-3 late into the 3rd quarter (1 minute to go). Patriots are ahead. "Worst Super Bowl ever" comments were already being made last Sunday by the 3rd quarter. So, anyone who brings up the fact that 3 TDs were scored in the 4th qtr of "that game" is missing on the fact that the declarations of "worst ever" were already happening by the end of the 3rd. The difference is that the Patriots lost in 2007-08. If they had lost this last Sunday, no one would have called this "worst ever." They'd all be celebrating.
Just a side note: Brady is standing in against a fearsome rush in this game (I forgot all of it) and the OL, particularly Light and especially Kaczur, are just an absolute disaster. Wow--is Kaczur getting blown up each and every play? What a disaster he is. He is ruining the entire offense. Getting blasted.
Also, 4th and 13 at the Giants 31, and the Patriots go for it instead of kicking a FG!?! What? Forgot about that.
EDIT: forgotten things. On the Giants last drive, I remember the Asante Samuel INT drop, but I had forgotten that on the same drive, Rodney dropped an INT, and so did Merriweather deep in the Patriots end--had it go through his hands. Merriweather's had a bigger degree of difficulty than the other 2.
