Why Not Us?

IF they pull off as unlikely a run to the title as there has been in the league in a long time...for me SB36 will never be replaced as my favorite but I think this one probably wouldn't be far off in second place.
Yup, but there’s also the improbable, fantastical SB 51.

As far as AFC vs NFC: for whatever it's worth, the conferences are 24-24-1 against each other, if my count is correct.

Only possible explanation for draft day insanity letting Mac fall to the Pats.
Most of the NFL "intelligentsia" still think Lawrence, Fields and Lance will all ultimately be better than Mac. Only Wilson is being discredited and then only because he has been "destroyed" by the Jets. Mac's success is credited to great coaching.

I know....

Unlikely.

Long odds.

Why Not Us?

RW, love this picture, and yes, why not us ? I had an extra skip in my walk this morning and really love the direction we are headed in. If we can beat the Titans (IMO, our biggest test ), then I truly believe we can hang with anyone. I don't want to get too ahead however I can't help but dream about it !! Love this team so much, they remind me of the 1st dynasty !

No real disagreement here, just trying to understand what factors make those three top teams clearly superior to the Pats. Your response helps clarify that you’re accepting the conventional wisdom based on consensus perceptions Including how they in years past.

My motivation was because I was surprised considering the Chiefs and Ravens have underperformed recently and wondered if they have shown flaws. That led me to question what are their strengths that make them more highly regarded. Are they more talented? More consistent? Better coached? Or is popular consensus judging them by looking in the rear-view mirror?

I think it’s based a lot on rear-view mirror, which gives a broader understanding of these teams without putting too much emphasis on a bad stretch. None of them has really changed in a huge way despite some marginal gains and losses. Chiefs are closest, but they still have all the core players that have made the AFCCG three consecutive years.

And I think a lot of it has to do with QB play, which in turn helps to retain coaches and create continuity.

You know me.....i'm realistic but i'm not afraid to dream and believe.

Based on their current trajectory there is no reason why with the right seeding and matchups this team can't go to the AFC Championship.

In the Super Bowl anything can happen.
This fires me up

Why not, Mr. Realistic.

My dream would be that Tom Brady along with Mac Jones and Company, better known as the NE Patriots, beat the Tampa Bay Bucs in the Superbowl this season.

If there is confusion with my statement regarding Tom Brady, yesterday Brady and The Washington Football team beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Go Pats

Haven't seen or heard from them in a while.

Well you will if the Patriots lose the Super Bowl! If that isn’t proof that Bill sucks, and it was all Mac Jones all along, then nothing is And they are stating the cold hard facts, nothing more, unlike the HOMERS, who think that winning 9 Comference Championships and 6 Lombardi’s somehow demonstrates how great a coach he is. Shula did that sh.t in his sleep, which means he’s probably doing it right now, and Belichick hasn’t won one in almost four years, and that one was all Sony Michel, Belichick had nothing to do with it. I could go on, but my dog wants to go out, to be continued later, with more cold hard facts!

I'd be totally satisfied with 11-6 and solid playoff run.
When did you become weak sir? 11-6 and a solid playoff run? No sir it's super Bowl or BB to the gallows....for sucking so bad at his job. Get with the program. Remember the Browns? Guy sucks without his binky!
