Why I wouldn't be too worried about the Panthers or Cardinals IF we make it to the SB

I'm not worried about either of those teams. You wanna know why? Because I'm worried about playing the Broncos in Denver to get to the Superbowl. That's why.
The players should be exclusively worried about Denver. The fans on the other hand are able to look ahead without any consequences. I also put the word if in capital letters because it's not a certainty.

BB absolutely deserves credit but typically high-scoring offensive teams during the regular season see their offensive output reduced during the playoffs.

Playoff football is a different beast. More often than not high scoring teams during the regular season score less as they typically face better teams that execute more efficiently on offense and defense.

Even the 2013 Broncos who "only" scored 26 vs the Pats scored less vs SD the week before and as we all know only scored 8 points vs SEA in the SB.

This is true, although I'm not sure how much a team's offensive output is reduced in the playoffs on average. At first glance I don't think they're average would be below 20 points like the Patriots 17.6 PPG average is. And I certainly don't think the #1 offense's average would be close to 16.8.

It would certainly be a great study to read.

Yea I was comparing regular season to playoffs.

For example, from 2007 to 2012 the Pats averaged less ppg in the playoffs than the reg season. With that said, there are some circumstances that impacted that...WW in 09. Gronk in 2011 vs NYG and 2012 vs BAL.

My apologies, I didn't realize that you spoke for all "fans" and determined what we should and shouldn't concern ourselves with about the Patriots and thanks for explaining to me what the quotations mean in laymen's terms. It was really confusing.

Well, I'm glad we have that cleared up. I'm so much less stressed about the game now because I'm just going to assume that we are going to the Superbowl. It must be so stressful to be a Patriot knowing that they don't have the luxury to look past the AFCCG when I am allowed to.

If you saw the problems Alex Smith and his punchless group of skill position players gave the Patriots, you should be worried about what Cam and his better group of skill players could do.

The Chiefs did convert more third downs between the 20s but let's not act like they were putting on a clinic on the defense. Alex Smith only averaged 4.92 yards per attempt, which is awful. Their offense also had to gain 18.9 yards for every point they scored, in other words they had to travel 132.3 for the equivalent of a touchdown and an extra point (for comparison, the Patriots had to gain 12.6 yards for every point they scored, so the equivalent to a touchdown and extra point would be traveling 88.2). The Pats D was playing solid bend but don't break defense that game.

Carolina's offense will certainly be tougher than KC's. Similar to KC their best receiving option in that game will be their tight end, but we've shutting down tight end's all year. Other than Olsen their receiving corp isn't anything special at all.

Their run game is their main strength, which if we know BB this is what he'll try to take away. If Hightower is healthy, then I think we can stand a pretty good chance of limiting it. Maybe put Jaimie Collins as a spy on Cam because he really could take off at anytime.

It would certainly be interesting to see the game plan that BB and Patricia would come up with.

If you saw the problems that Fitzy, Brandon Marshall and Decker gave the Patriots, you should be worried about what Palmer and his group of big receivers could do.

This doesn't hold as much water really. One team is a division rival during the regular season and the other is a team in another conference in the playoffs.

Not to mention Palmer was looking extremely nervous in his playoff game this season. If the Cardinals win, it'll be interesting to see how Carson looked for further evaluation.

To me matchups are more important than historical data involving different players and teams. Of these two, I think I prefer the matchup against the Cards since I think Palmer is more likely to make mistakes than Cam.

Matchups are certainly important and they can be complimented well with historical data. And I like the matchup with the Cards better too. Historically BB does better in the playoffs against the type of offenses like the Cards.

Ahhh yes when a great interior pass rush would really **** up our day.

It seems the offense from 2014 and now were made to counteract that interior pass rush that always seemed inevitable come playoff time. Hell the 2014 team was was averaging 29.2 PPG in the regular season but when playoff time came they ramped it up to 36 PPG.

Ur sarcasm is off the charts bro!1

Carolina is more of a zone D team than is Arizona, right? Our last visit to Carolina was a tough one (we got jobbed on the PI non-call when Gronk was tackled). But in general I just LOVE it when TB12 has a zone to pick apart.
