Why don't any of you have patience?

I felt that they were competitive yesterday. If Polk doesn't fall down and miss the two-pointer, it's a one-score game late in the fourth quarter.
To be fair and balanced.....
If Jax defenders didn't drop one or more (3 in total) of Maye's errant throws, it would have been a 4 score game

This revisionist nonsense today is just hysterical.
You make it a one-score game. You made a one-score game a two-score game, and made your defense, who had proven to that point they couldn't stop the run, somehow get two stops in 8 minutes.
You get one shot at the 2.
If you make it, there is little difference.

If you miss it on the first score, you are aware you need to still score twice with 9 minutes left. If you wait to miss it on the second score, game over.

Bill should’ve either rolled with Stiddy and give the position a proper evaluation; or he should’ve been much, much more pro-active in replacing Brady with somebody - anybody - better than Scam.
There was no one else to get and no money to get them with.

There's also a really good chance the game is over if you are asking a defense who can't stop the run to get two stops.
As it happened, they couldn't. And the only reason you got that chance at all, is because Pederson went for it on 4th down, instead of making it a 3-score game, which is just as bad.

I’m not “asking them to get 2 stops”. I’m trying to find out if they need to make one or 2.

For it to be a 2 score game you must convert a 2 pointer.
If you know you will miss it you play differently. That knowledge is valuable.

Peterson went for it up 15 not 9.

You can add the Judon rebellion that publicly disrespected Mayo and Wolf.
And they shipped him out, sa
How much patience is reasonable here? Since Brady left in 2019 (when I considered a form of rebuilding had to begin as he masked a lot of short comings with the team) the pats have been above .500 one time in what is now year #5 and it doesn't appear they are trending in the right direction except for a handful of players. So my patience is gone especially with all the head scratching decisions the owner made going into the offseason. As Parcells said "You are what your record says you are" and that hasn't been something to be proud of in a longtime now.
Mayo said the same thing and took the blame

Mayo said the same thing and took the blame
No no. First he threw the players under the bus in front of the media.
Then, after he got pushback, he walked it back.

That's not 'taking the blame' or 'responsibility' or 'accountability'. No, I'm not buying this ******** peddling in here today.

He said at the after game press conference it starts with him, you guys just hearing what you want to hear?

He might not be the right guy but no one wants to give him time. He's way different from BB and I'd hate to follow the goat but let's see it play out first.

1-6, and Season Over, and Lost the Locker Room is how it's playing out.

I was completely willing to "give him time" until reports surfaced of his unpreparedness and struggling to define his own role. The man literally did not know what to do. His wandering around position groups during training camp extended to "poking his head into meetings" in-season with no hands-on work game planning. What we're seeing are the results of a rudderless ship. Things might be worse with this coaching staff than anyone imagined.

I think Mayo went into this expecting to learn head coaching on the fly and finds himself in way, way over his head.

I think it's funny that we don't have patience when in reality it's already been a half decade.
I consider the rebuild to start when you get the right QB, looks like we have him now so the improvement should start now or make the necessary changes.

Curiously, Mayo will get major props from everyone if he sits, cuts or trades players who don't want to be here.

Mayo will be here though the 2025 season. Some seem to have little interest in being part of the future.

The rebuild started when they fired goat in 2020. Like it
OK, call 2020-2023 a Belichick rebuild if you wish. If so, it was a total failure.

We are now starting the Mayo/Drake rebuild. with a big thank you to Belichick for the 2023 draft, and for us having thee #3 pick and over $100M.

That doesn't wipe away our lack of patience. Just cause they got it wrong doesn't mean they get a pass for the next one.

We'll be sitting here in 15 months looking for a new head coach and it's not going to all of a sudden but the Patriots and the Krafts any good will.
