Suggesting he only excels due to "weapons" belies what he has done his entire career with lesser weapons and frankly is a load of garbage. Go look at completion percentages from now all the way back to when they were in college. Accuracy can be measured, it exists.
Some people seem to think that because Sony ran a 4.5 in February of 2018 he still runs a 4.5 in September of 2020 after two knee surgeries, a foot surgery, and 500+ carries.
He would certainly fit in here though. There was no way BB was drafting Lamar. His wonderlic score came back as "******ed" .

Byrd's caught 75% of his targets, what else would you like?Sorry but the bolded really isn't true...I do agree with the 2nd paragraph however.
And you keep ignoring that they got down points because they didn’t commit to run. It's simple and you keep ignoring it, you can't get down in points and "commit to the run."
You have to be down 2 scores or more depending upon the point in the game for that to be true. You'll run out of time before you score enough to win, once you're down you need to score and passing is the only way to catch up. As soon as Baltimore went down they were done because Jackson is worse than Cam at passing.
They aren’t going to make him into a player he isn’t.Cam is older and more experienced, his issues throwing accurately have to do with footwork, mechanics and decision making... not some flaw in his arm. They need to make him at least as good a passer as Joe Flacco in his prime or Matt Cassel at his best. They won't always play with a lead in a three game playoff series.
This is a round and round conversation, the fact that NFL teams have to abandon the run at some point is a fairly common piece of knowledge. The run game won't bring you back from a deficit, especially with time expiring. If you can't accept that truism then this conversation is over, in other news the sky is blue and water is wet.And you keep ignoring that they got down points because they didn’t commit to run.

down 10 in the first half Baltimore absolutely has to run. Throwing to save a minute or 2 offa drive isn’t necessary and getting points running is better than getting none passing.
Youve taken late game dynamics and acted like they apply all game long.
They aren’t going to make him into a player he isn’t.
They are much more likely to be down enough to be one dimensional if they don’t commit to the run than if they do.
The way to make his a more effective passer is to set up throws with the run. a draw in 3rd and 10 in the second quarter is better than a pick.
Again im not sure if you are trying to say the philosophy should be to open up the passing game and pretend brady is back there or you understand the best route for this team is to commit to the run, play conservatively, throw down the field only when set up by the run, and are saying we will fail when we are behind 3 scores and newton has to throw.
I love the defenders of Michel getting run down by a LB in the open field saying the LB "runs a 4.5". He had no business catching Michel after he blew past him at the LOS with a 10-20 yard lead. Somehow the LB turns around, jogs after Michel and catches him.
The only defense that I haven't really seen is that his WR blocking a DB and getting in Michel's way may have been the reason he slowed down allowing Morrow to catch up to him.
With that being said, he had a good day and I hope he keeps that up. I liked seeing him cut decisively and making a guy miss, something we haven't seen for some time.
And how often does he do what he did on Sunday? Did he have a single 100 yard game last year?if he can hit holes, make cuts and get yards like he did against the Raiders who cares what he runs in something that Rich Eisen does for a segment every year at the combine
What's funny is that triggers you even though I said with that aside I was glad to see Sony provide us with the plays that he did. I'll take those 38 and 48 run yard runs all day to take pressure off of the passing game. The fact that you think Morrow jogged is proof why your opinion is garbage. Seriously..
Did you see Byrd on the "Good Hands" team?Byrd's caught 75% of his targets, what else would you like?
The Patriots are the #1 rushing team in the NFL, they rank 3rd in attempts, 1st in yards, 1st in TD's and 5th in yards per attempt. The offensive line is an overwhelming strength on this team.
Conversely they rank 28th in pass attempts, they simply don't pass the ball. Expecting large fantasy football stats from the receiving weapons on this team is not realistic.
Just as an aside... N'Keal is catching 68% of his targets and getting plenty of separation, so feel free to admit you were wrong anytime.
He's returning punts.Did you see Byrd on the "Good Hands" team?
well there is a huge straw man. This is a round and round conversation, the fact that NFL teams have to abandon the run at some point is a fairly common piece of knowledge. The run game won't bring you back from a deficit, especially with time expiring. If you can't accept that truism then this conversation is over, in other news the sky is blue and water is wet.
He is what he is. They can’t make him something he isn’t.Cam is a better passer than Lamar Jackson. Cam will never be the passer Tom was, he'll never be a great passer. It's a matter of can the Patriots make him dangerous enough as a passer that playoff defenses have to respect his arm from the pocket. It's possible, but not guaranteed.
Are the Raiders just that bad against the run?
