Who poses biggest threat in Divisional round?

Assuming Pats take care of business this week, and assuming San Diego advances to play KC... who poses greatest threat Baltimore Houson or Indy...

I think playing Baltimore would present same challenge as Denver in AFCCG in '15... I'd like to avoid them so I'll be rooting for Houston I think.

They all have positives and negatives

Baltimore: Running QB whom you know will keep BB up late at night as he prepares for the game; Great defense: and Harbaugh’s teams always come to Foxboro with confidence; on the other hand, Jackson is inexperienced.

Tennessee: Mike Vrabel coached team, who didn’t back down to us a few weeks ago; Derrick Henry will be a nightmare to stop; on the other hand, Mariotta is injured

Pitt: Talented all around; on the other hand, they are coached by Mike Tomlin

Houston: Running QB (see above) who can make all the throws; we own them so they are due at some point; Missing Demaryius Thomas and perhaps Lamar Miller

    I’d go with Houston...

As weird as it sounds houston maybe the weakest opponent of the 3-6 seeds.

We have a good team. Not a dominant team. ANY team we face in the playoffs will be a legitimate threat. The fact is that this time around all of the teams we would play are teams that have as good if not better talent. Its just the way it is. Every game will be a crap shoot, and we will have to win 3 in a row to get to the promised land. It's as simple as that.

Also, TEN is without Jurrell Casey, Logan Ryan, & Orakpo. I doubt they even make it to the playoffs.

I watched a lot of that Houston game against Philly. They looked good. They would be a tough matchup for sure, although I agree any of the remaining teams would as well. Toughest field in the last few years, in my opinion.

One thing to consider is Houston’s secondary, which I think was getting pretty banged up by the end of the game, as well as the health of Lamar Miller.

Indy will most likely get the 6 seed, and they have some weapons NE could have trouble defending like Marlon Mack in a potential AFCCG.

I think the loser between KC and the Bolts would be the biggest threat if we face them in the Divisional round. Normally I'd eliminate the team with a young QB and a poor defense but Mahomes seems different. The Bolts look like the most balanced team.

The Indiots will end up playing Houston or the Ratbirds first and not play us until they beat KC or the Bolts, whoever wins the AFCW. We'll probably end up with the winner of the Ratbirds vs KC/LAC loser if the Indiots win.

If Houston were to lose to Jax, which is unlikely but you know the cliche, Browns beat the Ravens and Tennessee beats Indy, Tennessee jumps up to the three seed.

    Baltimore.

The defense obviously and Lamar Jacksons mobility. The Ravens have never been intimidated coming to Foxboro either.

I think any of those teams could potentially give us problems. I would probably pick Baltimore as the team I wouldn't want to play in the divisional round. They have the best defense and honestly, I would probably have nightmares before the game thinking about Elandon Roberts trying to tackle Lamar Jackson in the open field on a big 3rd down. ugh!!!!

It’s not a guarantee that the Ratbirds even make it. They have a tough game against Cleveland, while the Steelers have a layup game against Cincy...

What scenario would have the #2 seed play the #6 seed?

Out of the three, I'd say Baltimore. Tough defense and they can run the ball. They're a bit one dimensional, however, in that Jackson is still learning how to read defenses. I think the Pats can beat all three teams if they're playing their A-game, though.

I hear you Joey, this is a different Pat team this year, but let's face it, if we can't beat the Jets at home, we shouldn't even be in the playoffs. ;);)
